What do you think?

No. They're not good, in my opinion.
Don't flame me and stuff. It's my opinion.
Opinions can be different.

I only focus on Storylines, and important stuff
that's related to the Storyline.
And not wasting time and stuff on Safari Zones, Gamecorners, etc.
Unless I want to catch more Pokemon to expand
my collection, then I'll go to the Safari Zone.
But Gamecorner?
Blagh.
No good for me. I wouldn't want to waste money
on this kind of stuff.

Guys, first of all know the difference between mini-games and side quests:

A minigame, sometimes called a subgame, is a short video game often contained within another video game. A minigame is always smaller or more simplistic than the game in which it is contained. Minigames are sometimes also offered separately for free to promote the main game.
Minigames occur variously as gameplay features, or as time fillers while levels are loading, or as Easter Eggshttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Easter_egg_(media). In the latter case, they are often called "secret games". In the former case, the successful completion of such minigames may or may not be required to finish the encompassing game.

However, sidequests give far more useful awards, and they tend to hang out along with the storyline to complete lost parts of it, while simultaneously not being an actual core need to finish the game.

So, about mini-games. I like mini games in a game depending on what game it is. I would like some mini games in Pokemon games, but not the Game Corner ones. They personally made me feel like I was in Las Pokevegas or something...and I don't like gambling >.<

But it;s cool as long as there mini games such as the ones that were made in Pokemon Stadium 1 & 2. Those were fun.
In the end, though, I don't get how you can make custom mini games in a hack at all...anyway, must be me.

By the way, SAFARI ZONE is not a mini game nor a sidequest (well, as far as we're not talking about the HG/SS one).

When it comes to mini-games within a hack, they would definately increase interest as far as I'm concerned. I find myself finding some hacks being too full on, that the entire thing is just scene by scene of gameplay. Which in turn isn't always a bad thing but tends to get some what redundant. It's always nice to have side quests or in this case, mini-games, in hacks just to bring more appeal and features.
As for a mini-game being needed within a hack to get from one stage to another, I wouldn't etirely agree. I would suggest making them optional and most of all, acessable. So whenever the player wants to, they could play such mini-games. Optional mini-games, are almost a must if you're going to implement them in my opinion.
Just reading up on previous posts, side quests and mini games do go hand in hand, they take the gamer away from the main quest and bring some more gameplay hours to the game!
However, to make a good mini-game, it can take great innovation. Though it may take some skill to create a good mini-game, 50% of the work is in creating it. So just to recapulate, I think mini-games are certainly an attraction when it comes to hacks, but they can fail if improperly implemented. Good innovation, good placement and smooth gameplay within a mini-game merits some sucess.
