    ...when the energy are shiny? When the card is "holographic" and looks odd? Do they do anything different, or are they meant to look "cooler?"
     
    It doesn't mean anything, just like getting a holographic card of a Raichu (random Pokémon that popped into my head) doesn't mean anything special. It's just, like you said, to make it look cooler. ^_~ I have a few holographic energy cards myself. I like 'em! =D
     
    They're probably rarer/worth more too. It would be handy to hang on to for a while.
