Although Hispanic isn't the correct term for people with Mexican or South American blood-neither is Latin-I guess I count as that. My parents are both from Mexico, while I was born here in Cali!

That's because those terms have been so widely accepted as the way to classify us that people don't realize that Hispanic is a term for people from Spain-not Mexicans or South Americans-and Latino is for Italians....

Well hispanic is used to refer to anyone with spanish AKA Spainard blood in them. Lation is used to describe Latin America, which involves most of South America and the Carrabian.
