wrong !! rare candies just raise your level and stat, not give either IV's(it's fixed since you get the pokemon) or EV's

IV's is a number between 0-31 to determine how good a pokemon in it stats. a timid jolteon with 31 IV's speed and max ev's on speed will reach 394 speed while a timid jolteon with 24 IV's speed and max ev's on speed will only reach 387 speed

leveling is....raise your level. The difference between levelling using rare candy or training is only in EV's. once it all taken it will be the same raise by candy or training. without Ev's, level up stat up differ on IV's

IV: an invisible number behind a stat, ranging from 0-31. This number will determine how fast that stat will grow. However, each number is randomly generated, so it can be tough to get good IVs. That's where breeding comes in.

I think so. I'm not entirely sure, however- I asked in the Simple Q&A thread and never got an answer. :(

Yes. Just make sure you use the vitamins BEFORE YOU START TRAINING or you'll waste time.
