    What do you think is the best starter?
     
    Cyndaquil. Becomes Typhlosion and can beat many types with Thunderpunch, Earthquake, etc :rambo:
     
    hmm either Torchic, totodile,squirtle, and of course charmander
    CHARMANDER PWNS AND YOU KNOW IT!
     
    I started a thread like this, not too long ago. Only difference is mine had a poll.
    Anyway, I like all the fire types!
     
    Charmander! It evolves into the Dragon-esque Charizard!



    Dragons are cool!
     
    Hmm...I like all three original starters. They all have a special place in my heart. LOL, I sound so cheesy.
     
    I like the fire types only. I've always started out with either Charmander, Cyndaquil, or Torchic. So far they are all my favorites. Fire types are the strongest types to start out with, but they are harder to train. I think they reccommended grass types for easier training. I'm not sure about water types.
     
    Hm. o.O; Err ... Zapchu, some grass types are hard to train in GSC. x.x;

    Anyways, since the fire types are more stronger in all the games they're the main choice for anyone. ^_^; I think Either Blaziken or Charizard are the most powerful.
     
    Wait, I just remembered...in Yellow version Pikachu was a starter. XD That was my favorite start as of yet. It is true that Chikorita and Treecko might be harder to train, but Bulbasaur was fairly easy. Those who choose Charmander had to trainer more because the first gym leader had rock-types. *Same for Ruby/Sapphire version, it is a rock-type trainer*

    For the Gold/Silver series, the first gym leader had flying types, so those who had Chikorita might have a harder time.

    Anywho...Pikachu is the best start and I rest my case because of my personal prefrences. ^___________^;;
     
    I always loved having Bulbasuar as my starter. It kicks butt on the first two gyms in R/B/Y/FR/LG. Plus the flower on Venasuars back is awsome. ^_^

    Oh and you can't forget Chikorita eather. Evolving into Meganuim lets you enjoy its huge flower neck. Although it's really weak against the first gym :(. Weeeeee I love grass pokemon.
     
    I like all three starters of r/b and pikachu too. I had all 3 of them in my team thru trading and my other favorite r cyndaquil and chikorita. I nvr use chikorita tho

    There's no best starter, each starter has it advantages and disadvantages, if you're starting the game and you can't decide which one to choose... go for the one you think looks coolest. You will only use him in-game anyway (if you're raising a Poke for competitive battling you have to be careful with the IVs and the EVs) so it doesn't matter =).
     
    I would have reported this, but it hasn't been a month so I can't. XD

    My favourite starter is Charmander as it evolves into Charizard. That's basically a reason in itself XD
     
    Lol, I like Squirtle cuz it evolves in Blastoise eventually :)
