    Hello everyone,

I'm doing a pokéemerald-extension rom hack and want to create an alternative storyline starting in a different town with a new protagonist.
However, I want to maintain the basic structure of the game: same maps, trainer battles, wild encounters, etc. - except for the beginning of the game as I start in another city.
What is the best way to wipe out the main story line (basically mandatory events that you encounter as Brendan/May)?

You can go through the maps with porymap and delete story-related NPCs and script triggers. There are also map scripts that run when you enter a map, so you probably should also look in the script file of each map and delete any map scripts that are related to the story.

That sounds tough - I'll also have to remember which event depends on earlier events I might have deleted.
Are there any resources that map out the events of the storyline in a graph or tree-like structure or even written format?
