    I'm just wondering... What is this community about?
    I hope I have posted some useful info... someone at least seemed to appreciate it and thats what a real community is about.
    But, then, I posted a simple question that wasn't clearly answered by any thread so far. The thread was closed off without a response. The suggestion was to google it as I hadn't. I've spent hours googling it and all you get is people's "opinions". I'm asking for actual verification but now I can never get an answer here as the thread is closed. It wasn't a specious or wasteful qn, it wasn't off topic, it wasn't already answered, so why!?

    Not my idea of community.
    So count me out.

    I guess this will get closed/deleted too... C'est la vie, its just a game you know.
     
    One week ago, I'm assuming you're talking about the thread I locked, I said more than Google it, I actually said to discuss it with Hiroshi Sotomura (because I'm pretty sure he knew the answer, or if not, tell you where to get the answer from). If you contacted him, then you'd know the answer by now and not had to have made this thread.

    It was locked because it didn't fit into in-game help/translations specifically and no discussion could come out of it once an answer was recieved. Sorry if that offended you, or upset you in some way. I was just doing my job.

    I was reluctant to pm the guy as I suspect, as a big contributor, he may get bombarded by pms too much.
    Maybe I'm just too paranoid having exp it myself before.

    by the way, where would something like that fit?
    a topic about trading between games of different language?
     
    It would fit in the Help Thread. Some help threads have different names, though. Some are Simple/Quick Question and Answers, some are Help Threads, etc. But as long as you ask in the appropriate section's Q&A thread, it fits. For example, if you were asking about trading between an English Pearl and a Japanese SoulSilver, you could post that in either the DPPT help thread or the HGSS help thread. Hope this helps. I'm sure that wasn't your exact situation, but I was just trying to think of a quick example.
     
    Umm I guess you could try JE or Video Gaming.

    If you don't find it there then I am not sure.
