I was watching Pokemon the other day, and being the perfectionist that I am, I got really pissed off about how much black holes there are in the show. for one, no one goes to school, which might at least explain why team rocket are retarded. Ten year old kids just run off one day and travel to far distant lands for a few months, yet they still have magically adult common sense, like eating three times a day, and no one cares that these kids are just coming and going as they friggin' please. Also, what the hell do they eat for protein? something tells me that they can't do all that endless walking through mountains and forests on tofu and rice. Hot dogs and hamburgers are often mentioned, but as Pokemon are the animals, there are no regular cows, pigs and sheep to be slaughtered. Since Pokemon seem to have equal status with humans, I don't think they get massacred for the fatty's of Pokeland's pleasure. And I wonder if Oaks got tired of those tuaros rampaging around his yard and made some good quality burgers out of them. And why the hell are there massive world championship thingys over a couple of animals blasting the hell out of each other for two minutes. I can't think of anything else right now. Rant over.

I'm looking forward to everyone saying "It's a kids cartoon, live with it."

I think they keep their farmed animals separate and it just isn't shown in the Anime?

Actually, they do go to school. Just up until they're 10. This has been seen in the anime mostly during the Hoenn region.

They don't magically have adult common sense. Just take Ash. He's an idiot. They don't seem to eat three times a day unless they're with Brock or they're in a town.

Occasionally, inside the rice balls they have some kind of meats, so I wouldn't be surprised if they had meat inside of the rice balls most of the time.

. . . What are you talking about 'equal stats'? This has never been stated before in the anime. If they use milk from Miltank's udders, I'm sure they kill Miltank, Tauros, and many others (especially the fish) for food.

And why the hell are there massive world championship thingys over a couple of animals blasting the hell out of each other for two minutes.
It's called "Shounen anime", it's gunna be violent like that. Besides, without that, there'd be no plot. I suppose it's just like fighting shows with humans (see Fullmetal Alchemist and Burst Angel).

Because it's like that in the games, which it's based on XD. You eat nothing XD Except lemonade/MooMooMilk. I think it's better to have the huge tournament rather than just 5 people at the league ~ It's much more exciting

Wait, but isn't Magikarp tough as nails for them to eat.. Then how do they get their sashimi?

They could have different styles of cooking.

Anyway, Shinjislover has basically said everything there needs to be said. Most things are explained or at least mentioned in Hoenn.

Because it's a fictional Japanese cartoon series meant for children. :/

There's going to be holes, but as long as the revolves around Pokemon.. it works. Somehow.
    The idea is to not think about it too much. xD;

SL covered it well, I think. xp

One thing that never made sense to me either, was how all the wild pokemon would seem to get along with each other (for the most part).

One example of some confusion as well, is the pokedex reading I think for Arbok, in how it enjoys eating Spearow and Pidgey eggs. But this was before breeding too, so back then they must have assumed that like human birds, pokemon birds can lay eggs too.

There have been times (especially in the earlier seasons) where normal looking fish were in the foreground, with the protagonists or antagonists in the back.

It would have been interesting though, if not all pokemon had been born via eggs (it seems like an easy cop out).

It was meant for kids and teenagers, which the majority of them won't care for common sense when they see two Pokémon beating the livin' day light out of each other.

Shinjilover has said everything that I could've and couldn't say.

I only have one thing to say that: Think back to Shinji's Chimchar and all those Zangoose. Yeah. They didn't get along, now did they?

Somehow, all of the Pokémon lay eggs, despite most of them being mammalian creatures (i.e., Raichu).

I suppose regular birth would be too graphic or something. XD

It might not be the best example (considering the circumstances), but what made me think of this originally was in the 2nd movie, when all the pokemon around the area gathered to help if any.

And then there are the genderless legendaries X_x

Lol, for some reason that made me think of Ace Ventura 2, when Jim Carrey's character is trying to extricate himself from the rhinoceros. Though not sure about the anime, but they said they've never even seen a pokemon lay an egg. For all we know it could be they lay it through the mouth O_o lol

I suppose that would be the Pokémon wanting to protect their territory. but, considering the world was in danger, the Pokémon's sixth sense kicked in and instinct took over, kinda like how a dog can sense danger.

    I love that movie. XD

. . . O.o Okay, I am thoroughly freaked. XD I can just imagine a Pokémon puking up an egg in their owner's hands and then their owner passing out.

The episode doesn't have black holes, it's basically a cartoon that protrays a fictional journey. I would have said more, but ShinjisLover got really down in the dirt with this thread...:)

Lol... Well there was a kid show that was graphic in that sense once. I believe the show was called 'Round the Twist. It was an Aussie show. Anyway, one of the episodes, one way or another, somehow the older son managed to get impregnated by a fairy, or whatever. He had the belly, except he burped-birthed the baby out. And yeah, no egg. Idk, maybe I've just seen some weird shows XD

lol... You got that show too? In Canada? I never knew what was so great about that show...

On-Topic, I just imagine that Pokemon Anime, is set in a alternate Universe, where everything you just said is normal there...

Another thing is maybe these humans are more Developed then us. Adadaptive Evolution, maybe they learn to to all the things you said through Evolution, cause they're on another universe, they didn't evolve the same way Humans did...

this made me laugh, but it all boils down to, well its just tv, and besides it extreme fiction lol

I just thought of something isn't it weird that their only 10 then they go off fighting with little creatures it's like 10 year old **** fight and then they show ash and brock or tracey with one girl with them there is something wrong with that picture and the fact that they don't go to school and also ash/may taking his/her clothes off in front of their companions that's just sick
