It's pretty simple. What is your favorite type of Pokemon? Please state WHY.

    Grass, because of its versatility

    Ghost

Ever since the first generation, I have found Ghost type pokemon to yield a far deeper and more intriguing story than the great majority of wild encounters. Starting with R/B/G, wherein a Gastly could only be found by revealing their true form whereas they otherwise hid themselves behind the illusion of true spirits to find peace from trainers. The most recent generation turned out a whole slew of entertaining new Ghosts, each with their own plot. From Froslass, a thinly veiled smile at the ancient Japanese myth of the Yuki Onna, a spirit rumored to lure men into the snow so that their dying breath might warm her frozen heart, to Giratina, the first pokemon ever to introduce an entirely different world in the Pokemon universe, and Rotom- hiding in the television, only revealing itself in the literal dead of night (defined by your DS clock, at that!).

    I like Grass

Who doesn't like inflicting status problems on you opponents, especially in competetive battling. And leech seed. Let us not forget leech seed.

The ability to heal yourself and deal damage at the same time is pretty cool, and sleep powder over that makes a pretty good pokemon.

And with the multitudes of water types spread throughout the games, Grass comes out close to the top.

Not to mention Venusaur is my favorite pokemon.

    ..-dies-

er.. Bug types for me :D
I love insects.. arthropods in general, really, so that's pretty much the normal response for me to take.
Basically, they're damn cute. Critters like caterpie are squashy [I remember one npc stating how his bug pokémon were like plush toys, daw].. ones like anorith have those little legs.. shedinja is crunchy. Venomoth is dusty.
..these are all positive attributes yes.

I also love ghost types and poison types.. I'll agree with scientist davis here that ghost types just seem so imaginative and quirky.. er.. if that's what you were trying to say~
Take shedinja for instance.. okay, we have a bug pokémon.. when it grows it'll cast off its skin. ...Okay, so what shall we do with that skin? Let's bloody well animate it.
We can give it a bizarre ability, and torn skin that looks like wings. We can give it eyes shaped like pokéballs, a comedy halo, and introduce the myth that peering into its back will, oh, steal your soul.

    That's just brilliant D:

Wait, wasn't there already a thread like this?

    Regardless,
    Fire
One of the least found Pokemon in the wild because they tend to only live in hot places. What is cooler hotter than fire I'd like to know. Fire is a hard element to tame because of its erratic nature. Fire <3

    Ghost
    Basically what Scientist Davis said.

    Dragon
Mythological creatures of lore that instill fear in the hearts of men. I love that in any mythological type.

    Dark
Evil through and through. That's my opinion anyway.

    Ha ha. Guess.

ElectricHas the ability to be really fast, really strong, only one weakness (aside you're not duel typing like Zapdos), and has the ability to paralyze on STAB moves. :DBesides, Electric pokemon has tons of cool pokemon.

    Steel
Tons of resistances, tough defense or special defense, good health. I don't think it is a better defense type in the game.

    Dark
Has potential to be really offensive (Absol) or really defense (Umbreon). They have a cool set of moves (Dark Pulse, Pursuit, etc.) and many of them can learn a lot of moves outside of their type. :D

Electric: Fast, only one glaring weakness, and versatile. Shame that my least favorite Pokemon is also an Electric-type, but the awesomeness of others more than makes up for Mr. Chu.

Ice: To quote Lorelei: "Freezing moves are powerful." With a whole slew of Legendaries being the Dragon-type, ice is almost a must in higher level play.

Normal: Wide variety, only one weakness, and they can often learn a wide variety of moves to keep them unpredictable.

For me, Ice, Ghost, and Dark types are my favorite.

Although if I just go broadcast this stuff everywhere, people will make teams that can counteract mine. Hence why I use these types the least:)

Fire: I really can't think of a really good reason. But I guess that I just like many fire pokemon. And I always prefer the fire starters over the other starters. Fire type has been a type that's really close to my heart. The word fire, itself, makes me think of something passionate and really fierce. And another thing is that my first fave pokemon was also a fire type(charizard).

Dragon: Mystical, Really strong. I can't think of many other reasons. So, I like them just because most of them look cool and are strong I guess. ^_^'

Steel: They resist most of the types and some of the steel types are really awesome! For eg, Metagross!! XD Other than that, the word steel itself symbolises something that's really strong and hard. So, these are the reasons I like it I guess.

NOTE: I also like dark to an extent but haven't voted for it coz its not one of my faves. O_o But, anyways, lemme say something about it too! XD

Dark: Some dark types are really cool. The word 'dark' itself means darkness and I love things that are associated with darkness! XD

fire and dragon are the best

dragon-almost all legendaries are dragon type and my two favs are latios and latias

fire-fire types just own all in general and typhlosion is so cool whenis got the flames coming out its back

Hm, probably Fire and Psychic, but I also love Water and Electric. It's really hard to choose, but if I had to, I'd choose fire. :P

I wasn't really much of a fan of Water, except only using it for Surfing, but that's it.

Dragon and Fire has to be my favorites. Dragon-type Pokemons are just amazing, and almost all of my Starter Pokemon were Fire-types.

Fire and Grass, but I'll just explain the grass part.

I always sorta liked Grass pokemon, but it really wasn't until I started playing Sapphire and Ruby did I begin to use them a lot. Now I'm a full fledged fan :) There just so relaxing and calm. Plus I always loved Erika<3 ... Gardenia not so much.

hmm...I could've sworn there was still an active thread for this topic. Oh well, since the mods haven't moved it yet, it must be safe to post in. XD

Poison and Ghost for me. They're dark and sinister and tout come of the most diabolical attack strategies in the game. >:D

Grass...I like how they can counter almost anything and have the ability to use ground type moves and can hang in a battle with leech seed...Not only that, but a lot of the grass types are kinda really cute :)
