What mon have you had to throw the ball FARTHEST for?

Mine was Rapidash. it was so far away. the white circle was so small. I threw about 10 ultraballs at it. I only actually landed maybe 6? Straight throws too, i had to stop curving.

what about you all?

btw, that rapidash eventually ran away.. so sad. :( but my wife got hers.

Some Pokémon by default are always farther off, Ponyta and Rapidash are prime examples.

Zubat, Golbat, Lapras, Dragonair, Dragonite are some other examples.

Snorlax was quite far off and so was lapras

I think mine was pidgeot, ironically. Nothing special but for some that dude was so darn far.

Do you think any throws are impossible because they are too far away?

I sometimes waste a few balls just to realize how far it really is, but then i do these throws. I can do them.

Do not do curveballs, it is not worth it, aim for an EXCELLENT throw, it gives a similar bonus. Some people have the skill to do an excellent curveball throw, but this is rare, if you have the skill, do it. I do not have the skill to reliably combine a curveball with a great throw, let alone an excellent throw, so i just throw straight and aim for an excellent throw.

So i throw straight and try to hit inside the circle when the circle is small. I also hit pokemon that are really far away.

There was one Pokemon I encountered in the wild - Pinsir, maybe? I can't recall - where every single shot I flung could not go far enough. I tried straights and curveballs, all the way to the top of the screen with a fast swipe, and they all landed at the wild Pokemon's feet. It was ridiculous.

I ended up having to do the screen-edge trick, which often results in not getting a Nice/Great, but at least I could hit the darn thing now.

Just caught a Golbat in the rain. Normally i can make that throw rather easily, but with wet fingers and a wet display it cost me like 15 balls.

The farthest as far as I remember (no pun intended) was Tentacruel.

My problem with Zubat/Golbat and Scyther would be the tricky distance mirage plus the motion.
