[Tool] What operating system is necessary to use these tools?

    Hey there,

    I'm on Ubuntu, and just started (attempting) my first rom hack. The first thing I'm looking to do is to edit Pokemon - I've tried several programs through Wine;

    - Pokemon Game Editor opens and some features work, but clicking "Edit Pokemon" immediately force closes.
    - YAPE immediately opens and then closes
    - G3T immediately opens and then closes

    Does anyone have potential solutions? Alternatively, is there any confirmation if these work on XP, or is Win10 required?

    Always assume Windows, since that's what basically everything is built for.
     
    Use Wine (Wine is not an emulator).
