What Pokemon "cries" do you like better?

    I didn't really know where to put this, so I put it in the TV forum.


    When pokemon make their noises, like "Pika-Pika", do you like it better when they say their names or when they just make sounds like real animals?
     
    hmmm,I like it better when they actually say there names... Its more amusing that way. XD
    Certainly more interesting then listening to a bunch of growls...
     
    I liked Torkoal's cry better.
     
    names are the better... they're much cuter. I mean, when they say their names, they are portrayed as pokemon.. growls just portray them as animals more than as pokemon... o.o
     
    Machop from the new series sounds like Joey from Yu-Gi-Oh! Lol!
     
    The anime cries made them cute and feel like Pokémon, while the game cries made them sound like animals, sweeties.
     
    I agree with .::tempest::.! Roars are too generic. Names and their variations are cool!

    For certain Pokémon it fits them better if they say their name like when Pikachu and Bulbasaur had their conversation in "Bulbasaur's Mysterious Garden".
    However, imagine how Gyarados would sound if it was saying it's names. Reminds me of Mewtwo. There was once a "Who's that Pokémon" featuring Mewtwo and it didn't fit one bit when they made simply made it say "Mewtwo" x.x
     
    Ha...that was actually kinda cool hearing Mewtwo say its name. But I agree that some Pokemon are not meant to say their names.
     
    Am I the only one who believes the game cries are much better?
    One of the main reasons I stopped watching the anime several years ago was the fact that the anime cries sound ridiculosly stupid in some manner.

    I hate Exeggutor's cry In both the Video games and the anime episodes. I like Wobbuffet's Anime Cry cause I'm really good at it. I think the Anime cry's should be in the Video games too.
     
    Im not sure which i prefer, both i guess. For example, I like Bulbasaur best when he says his name, but Charizard just needs to growl and roar.
