3rd Gen What preparations did you make for D/P?

Wow, I didn't really think that you can get your pokemon between games.

Can someone please explain how that works?

How do you get from a GBA game to a DS game?

And, I havn't played pokemon ruby, emerald, or leaf green in a while meaning I havn't prepared a single bit.

Because D/P is a NDS game, you put your D/P game into Slot 1 of your DS, then you put Emerald (or whatever GBA game) into Slot 2. Start up the DS and go to pokemon Pearl, and on the title screen you get the option of Pal Park, which go's through your pokemon that are in your Box in emerald, and allows you to TRANSFER 6 pokemon per day. So once they are in D/P they can never go back to Emerald.

All I have right now is a Modest Mewtwo with 31 IVs in SPD, and Sp.atk and very high in every other IVs that I'm transferring.

I bought Fire Red And Emerald. I Had Ruby Once Upon A Time But It Broke. But Yeah so i can't wait for pal park. Also Isn't Pal Park Late In the Game?

Yeah, you need to have beaten the Elite 4 in D/P before your allowed into Pal Park and you need to have gotten the national pokedex, which is obtained by seeing the 150 Sinnoh pokemon.

Although the last post on this topic is a week old, it's still on the 1st page of the thread and I'm posting here anyway :x

Now then, preparing for D/P, I've been doing a lot.

- Firstly, and most importantly, I've been preparing movesets. Some people who know me on NetBattle know I like to make movesets, whether it being something old, or something scientifically created by myself. I've prepared a MS Word Document with Movesets for ALL of the fully evolved Pokemon, along with Pikachu, and now I'm in the process of creating Pokemon Analyses out of them.

- Second, handpicking D/P Certified Pokemon that are on my Emerald Version. I've trained a lot of stuff, but from the looks of things, only a few things are going to cut it. Anything left over will be given away at no cost whatsoever.

- Third, Training D/P Certified Pokemon. I've been playing Ruby, so I can obtain another Groudon and Latios, as well as beef up an Adamant Blaziken, and a Naive Sharpedo, both of which are In-Game Pokemon since I can't trade because one of my GBAs were stolen from when I got mugged walking home =(. And I'm also Playing through Pokemon XD, where I have a Naive Togetic with Tri Attack, which is the only Normal Sp. Atk that Togetic will obtain, besides Hyper Beam. That, and not to mention that the 40% total stat inflict rate is hawt 8)

This kind of topic should probably be in D/P Discussion.

Well, I made a new change. Since Shadow Ball is gonna be a special attack in D/P, I'll keep it on my Gadivour. Grass Knot will be taught to my Sceptile when it's traded over to Diamond, and I hatched a male Ralts.
