What "Rival" Do You Want To See Return?

    No, I don't mean like "Gary," or "Drew," or any of those other rivals who were recurring characters. I mean the characters Ash and co. met up with, like, once and promised to meet again, but never did/will.

    I want to see the Samurai Bug Catcher, with his Pinsir and Metapod (Probably a Butterfree, now), along with some new generation bugs. Ash could even use his Heracross against him for a Bug vs Bug matchup!

    Also, the guy with the Sandshrew in one of the early episodes. He had never lost a match before, and he crushed Ash with his wicked Earth Mouse. I'd like to see him again.

    Anyways, this is basically the "Which one-time character deserves more air-time?" thread.

    Definately A.J. from 'the path to the Pokemon league'. I think there's a fan art of him and his Sandslash.

    Snap. I want to see snap again. I wonder what him and his awesome halmet hair is doing. Has he become a famous pokemon photographer or what?
     
    I'd actually like to see Misty and Ash finish thier matchup fair and square. Hopefully Psyduck is a Golduck by now lol.
     
    yeah that would be awesome seeing the shansrew guy again, he was awwwwwwesome.
     
    Seeing Harrison return would be pretty cool. I'm sure that they would put on yet another good showing; whether it be a Charizard vs Blaziken rematch or whatever else.
     
    I would love to see AJ again, he was so cool. When I first saw that episode my eyes were glued to the screen when I saw Sandshrew use his Fissure attack, its probarly a Sandslash now lol that was YEARS ago. I wonder if Bruno will ever come back? ;; I saw the "To Master the Onixpected" episode on CN earlier and it made me miss season 1 so much. The Samurai from Episode 4 in the first season was underrated, he should come back in a future episode, lol he'll probarly ask where Misty is XD. ( omg I miss Misty now too ;; )

    ^^" heh, my answer will be so cliche, but I think it'd be sweet if Ritchie/Richie (sp?) came back. Ash has got to battle him one more time, and win this time around~

    eh, I can't think of anymore right now, because every darn person they meet they say, "we'll meet you again someday, and we'll battle again too... etc. etc."
     
    Yeah, A.J. said Ash that they'd meet again at the Pokemon League, so why didn't they include him as, say, the guy fighting Ash on the Rock Field or something. I mean, they could have replaced Nidorino with Sandslash for that one and it wouldn't have been all that different. It would be a lot more meaningful, with A.J.'s bragging earlier about how he'd never lost, only to finally be defeated by the inexperienced trainer who lost to him before. Seriously, why not include him where he said he'd be?

    As for Harrison, I think having him fight May in a Blaziken vs. Blaziken match would be awesome.
     
    A.J. or Richie. I don't know if Richie falls in with Gary and them, but I'd really like to see him in the show again.
     
    Yeah, Richie would be cool, but I sorta considered him as a 'recurring' rival. However, he'd still be cool to see again (I actually do expect that, what with his own little side quests and everything...)

    yeah an dharrison's sneasal evolve into a weavile and it'sll also be weavile vs weavile

    Whatever happened to Richie anyway? Wasn't he collecting Johto badges? He should have been in the Silver Conference...
     
    I like Harrison and his Blaziken. He is a good character.

    but my big wish to see Jemmy compete in the sinnoh championship .
     
    I hate Richie...everyone hates Ash, but not the Ash clone? o.O

    I don't really like the filler characters who Ash said he'd meet again. Maybe AJ. But it'd seem kind of random after 500 episodes to suddenly meet someone from Kanto. He can't even remember May so I doubt he'd rememeber someone from 10 years ago. But Ash's memory works in odd ways. He doesn't rememeber May buy he remembers Pokeblock haha.

    And there was that Electabuzz girl who popped up a few times that was collecting badges but wasn't in the league. The writers probably forgot about them...

    I've been waiting for years for A.J. to come back. He was always one of my top favorite characters. His accent was awesome, his Sandshrew was the greatest, and he would have made for an interesting rival for Ash. Of course, if A.J. did come back and battled Ash's Pikachu with his Sandslash, the writers would pull another "Aim for the horn!" stunt and ruin the entire thing. :/

    And I'm of the opinion that Harrison should have just replaced Ash. ;D But I'm completely insane over Harrison like that, so ignore the previous sentence. Harrison, Morrison, and Tyson should make reappearances. I'd actually watch the show again if they did!
     
    I know she was in a few episodes but Casey (the crazy one with the Chikorita and the Elekid) should definitely make a reappearance. I remember thinking she was really cool when I was little :P

    AND TYSON, only because of his Meowth! There should totally be some dramatic story arc where Tyson's homocidal Meowth goes crazy on Pikachu, resulting in a tense Pokemon Center montage...
