Obviously, the anime focuses primarily on the main series games, but occasionally there have been special episodes that seem to focus on side games or spin-off games that the anime alluded to.
Off the top of my head, there was one episode for PMD1, one for PMD2, one for PMD Sky, and two for Ranger 3. None of these episodes involved Ash and co., but they're nevertheless anime episodes.
There was also at least one episode that was on Ranger 1, including Ash.
EDIT: Just found this; there is at least one episode on Ranger 2, also including Ash. This means that all the Ranger series and PMD series (except the 3 WiiWare ones exclusive to Japan) are covered.
My memory is probably not that great, so can someone confirm what I said above or name any side games/spin-off games that I missed?
*Side games include the Stadium series, Colo/XD, Box, Battle Revolution, Ranch, etc. that primarily interact with the main series. Spin-off games are like Trozei/Link, Ranger, Mystery Dungeon, Rumble, etc. that do not primarily interact with the main series (although Ranger has limited levels of connectivity).
