4th Gen What starter should I get??

    Turtwig, Chimchar, or Piplup???
     
    Whatever floats your boat. If you've got a buddy, get them all.

    Infernape is the fastest and a quick hitter. Torterra is a strong one that can destroy alot of types. Empoleon is a tad bit slow, but has tons of defense.

    By the way, Infernape is one of the only two fire types in all of Sinnoh (other being Rapidash), but then again, there are no Ground/Grass or Steel/Water types anywhere, while there are plenty of Fighting.
     
    like I say to other people its all up to you. Your going to have to build your team later on in the game. Anyways I've picked Pochama because its a really good pkmn when it evolves into Enperuto

    chimchar, hes like the only fire type in the story other than ponyta
     
    I would say, Turtwig. Since it can beat some Gyms. You can pick Chimchar. But in the first Gym, You will have some trouble beating, Roark. Since, Roark has Rock Type Pokemon. But if your Monfernape has Mach Punch, Which it learns when it evolves at Lv.14 and it automatically learns it. But it really depends on you. If you want to beat the Gym Leader fast or take time training. And, For Piplup, I agree that it has great Defense but somehow slow. But it will be a great Water/Steel Pokemon.
     
    I went with Turtwig the first time, and restarted and chose Chimchar, because if you dont get Chimchar, the only other fire choice you have is Ponyta.
     
    I chose Chimchar due to the fact that he is the only fire type next to ponyta however it all depends on what kind of team you are going to build. If your looking for speed Chimchar is a good choice. For base attack its Turtwig and for defense its Piplup it all depends at the end of the day how you like to fight.
     
    I don't like any of them, but I chose Turtwig and placed him in a pc box once I caught a starly. They all suck, in my opinion.

    You'll be able to find a machop before you get to the first gym anyways, which can take on the entire place by itself.
     
    I picked Piplup. Empoleon makes a great elemental wall, especially if you throw it against something you know is using an element it resists, which includes 12 out of 17 elements.
     
    I like all new starters but I'll choose Turtwig, 'cos it has the best moves. And I always started with the grass-type when i got a new version...
     
    you should pick piplup hes strong and learns good moves when it evolves.
     
    I got turtwig! it rocks. i had a little trouble at the second gym being a grass gym... but a starly should win it easily with a good flyin move
