i have a midkip and a ditto in daycare. i got an egg from daycare man and went in to get mudkip out and daycare lady said her husband was looking for me so i went to him and got another egg. what gives?

They bred fast. That's all it is.

Don't you know if you take an egg, then go for a wander, they'll make another one?

On a side note....good job keeping up the Mudkip population!

it takes like 256 steps for the game to try and make an egg. i walked like ten steps

I've had that happen to me before too. :/ Maybe the game makes an egg every # of steps regardless of whether there's already an egg waiting for you? So if you took the egg on, say, step 250, a new one might appear at 256 so when you get to the wife at 260, there'd already be another one.

idk, that's not likely. I just know I've had that before too and it was annoying. :(

idk i'm just going off of what i read on bulbapedia. they reliable?

    Pretty reliable.

Although...i never count the steps xD

    i doubt most ppl do
    ffffiiiilllleeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
    now that wasn't necessary...

I'm almost positive this is the case, as it's happened to me numerous times when breeding, especially when trying to Masuda a shiny. I would literally have a constant cycle of five eggs in my backpack with one sitting in the day care until I took out one of the parents.

how successful has masuda-ing been for you? i wanna get into it

I've only hatched ~100 so far without any luck, haven't tried beyond that. It's worked for other people though, I'm just not very gung-ho about absolutely positively getting one.

1/2048 (from 1/8192). Some people get lucky and get it within their first 100, others hatch over a thousand and see nothing.

yea but i'm a bit overdue for shiniws, i've only seen 3 in the wild in my eight years of pkmn

In my time.......... 4 years........ I've never seen a wild shiny.

you think you're do for 1 >.< outside of chaining (even then i've had a chain of around 80 with no shiny) i've only caught one shiny and that was a caterpie in the original silver

volroc (i think) recently caught like 20 shiny dunsparces with his chain being broken. and one i saw a shiny wheezing but it blew up :D

Shiney Bombs. The games way of giving you the finger =x

Anyways back on topic. The game does it, Ive had it before as well. And its quite annoying cause i only breed like one or two eggs at a time (when im not trying to Masuda me a shiney)
