I have a friend who doesn't want to cheat on ruby, but then if i do cheat, it'll be easyer.
    what should i do?

    Two words: Don't cheat.

Seriously, the game is a lot more fun if it's more of a challenge.

But then again, we're talking about the Pokemon games, here. It's not that difficult to get through them by legitimate means (except, of course, when it comes to getting those few Pokemon a person wouldn't normally be able to obtain, e.g. Deoxys).

Uhhhhh, in my professional opinion, cheat if you absolutely need to. Cheat to get certain Pokemon, but don't cheat to make your Pokemon super strong or stuff. There are WAY too many things that could damage your game.

You do not know how many times I have had to tell people "You game is gone, and it will never return. That is the risk of cheating." In the end, we can't tell you what to do, it will ultimately be your decision.

Trust me the minute you cheat you get bored of the game quickly. It is far better to take longer and enjoy it, than to cheat and end up getting bored of the game.

yeah dude, don't cheat if u can avoid it, it's lame and the games really
    are more fun without cheating.

if u'r gonna cheat to get pokemon u can't normally get then try and do it like
as a reward for yourself type thing like u know for beating battle tower or
getting frontier symbols and so on.

my friend does that, I guess it's pretty fair.

Naaah, I guess if you MUST cheat, do it at least after you've finished the game once or twice. So you can still have the satisfaction that knowing you beat with you're own knowledge. ;D [The again, they aren't really that difficult; Story wise. xD]

DON'T EVER CHEAT!!!! Trust me, the game is not THAT challenging. Anyways, cheating is way too risky. And what's the point of cheating anyways? I mean, You can still enjoy the game without cheating.

I will jump on the DON'T CHEAT bandwagon and ride it on home. You don't even have to cheat to get the rare Legendary Pokes either. On eBay you can find them usually for cheaper than buying that **** cheating device. There is ALWAYS a way around cheating.

Besides, cheating saps the fun right out of the game. Not to mention that people usually perceive you to be a weak trainer that needs to cheat in order to be competitive. As others have said, the game really isn't challenging enough anyway. I believe Vanir won the game with an all-Bug team, if that tells you anything. Also, while I am creating Secret Bases on my Emerald, I only use Mudkip and Taillow to battle (Taillow to cover Grass weakness) and then the rest are Zigzagoon to pick up valuable items, specifically Rare Candies. I have found that using 3 Zigzagoons only gives you the highest percentage of RCs for some strange reason.

Bottom line, resist the urge to cheat. It won't be worth it.

i got a cheat thing for my birthday a while back but it has never been open as i am against cheating to get things. the only things i use are guides and things like that from the internet.
    NEVER CHEAT

I usually save the cheating for when there is absolutely nothing left to do in the game. If he needs to though then I guess there isn't much he can do about it.

Wow, everybody says to not cheat, thanks for your help everybody.
Though i need a signature, so PM me if you think of one ;)
