    I think its fighting:

    Dark
    Steel
    Normal
    Rock
Ice (thanks chiru) are all the advantages it has

While most others have one or two

    Well fire has three:
    Grass
    Bug
    Steel

Then dragon steel has the most resistances: (thanks aragornbird)
    Flying
    Normal
    Ghost
    Dragon
    Dark
    Steel
    Psychic
    Rock
    Bug
    Grass
    Ice
    immunity toPoison.

Fighting also has an advantage over ice, doesn't it? If that's the case, I agree with you that fighting is the strongest.

    WHOA !!!!!!

O_O, I forgot about steel. Jesus, good thing there are only a few steel types.

    So most

    Weaknesses is Grass

    Most advantages is Fighting

Most Resistance is steel with 12 types

I would have to say Steel, since it has that most resistance and can pack quite a punch.

What about Dragon? From what I recall only their own type (besides ice) is extremely effective against them.

To be fair, Fairy wasn't a type when this thread was created- which is over 10 years ago now. Just a heads up for the future- normally it's against the rules to post in a thread that has been in active in Pokemon General for over a month, and this far exceeds that. If you'd like to continue a discussion like this, please make a new thread instead. Thanks!
