The first Pokémon game I played was Red, and it was my sisters. I loved it, so later that year when Yellow came out I bought so I wouldn't have to keep borrowing my sisters game.

My aunt took me and my brother to Toys'R'Us when we were younger and she bought my brother Red Version and bought me Blue. At the time I had a original Red GameBoy and my brother had a Silver GameBoy Pocket. I don't think she bought us a link cable though. I think I got that later, but I'm not sure from who I got it from.
