4th Gen What will you nickname your Pokemon?

I give my Pokemon either random, badass or no nicknames. I also tend to name them after characters in comedy shows and movies.

I would name the Red Gyarados RedForeman or Chyzere.

My starter will be named Chancho, Dwight or something that comes to my mind that's even better.
 
I nickname all the Pokemon I get,and each is different.

Chikorita: Callya for Female and maybe Verde for Male.
 
Although it's not often that I nickname my Pokemon, when I do I give them human names. For example, I have a black cat named 'Phyllis'. So when I wanted an Umbreon, I named the Eevee that. I also gave her name to a Persian. Another example; William is my hamster. Thus, I named a Pikachu after him, since both are rodents.

I will nickname the ones in my main party, but for all others, I just name them if I feel like it.

My likely party:

Feraligatr - Bandicoot (I do like my crash games!
Ampharos - Teslax
Pidgeot - Pilot KFC (That's where it'll belong if it fails to win battles
Lapras - Nessy
Tyranitar - Godzilla (admit it! It's a big green godzilla!
Lugia - Poseidon
 
I always name Cyndaquil Cynder if its a boy, and Cyndy if its a girl
 
Hmm I havent really decided on a set team yet, but Im for sure naming my starter Totodile AllieGator and my Crobat Probat :P maybe even name Groudon T-Rex and Gyarados/Lapras (depends whos in my team) Loch Ness
 
I never nickname my Pokémon... I guess I don't get why it's fun or whatever, haha. Except for the Paras named "Hilton", couldn't resist that one. lolgetit?

My bf often gives his Pokémon silly names, though, and my friend once said that "just calling a Pokémon by its species name is like calling your friends "human". Go, human! I know I'm going to nickname my Totodile Croc, the same name I gave my Totodile when I first played Silver.
 
I ususally only name my team pokemon but lately I've been naming each pokemon I catch, though I take the easy route and name them after people at school.

My team for now:

Quilava - Vash
Politoed - Lily
Togetic - Danny
Scizor - Jake
Raichu - Jayden
Umbreon - Gavin

i hate nicknames =P
the only pokemon i ever nicknamed was my pikachu on yellow (his name was, well, yellow) named after the trainer whom i also named yellow
 
I will name my cyndaquil "Phoenix" after my 5 year old dog.
 
Silver. Cool name, trbiute to the ebst pokémongame ever.
 
Well, I've got names in mind for teams on both versions:

On HeartGold...
Typhlosion: Blazer (hard to come up with an original fire-based name, sadly)
Poliwrath: Walker (after the birth name of a certain famous boxer)
Victreebel: Inigo (after Inigo Montoya)
Magneton: Shockeye (a minor Doctor Who villain, plus it fits... electric/three eyes)
Sudowoodo: Twigley (I just like it)
Noctowl: Nite Owl (the Watchmen character)

On SoulSilver...
Actually, I'm planning on naming my team for all Gurren Lagann characters.
Feraligatr: Kamina
Aipom: Simon (probably a better-suited name for Beedrill, but oh well)
Sandslash: Viral
Farfetch'd: Kittan
Exeggutor: Lordgenome (it makes no sense but I don't care)
Ninetales: Yoko
(edit: also planning on naming any random catches going straight in the box for various characters as well. SoulSilver is basically going to be the "for fun" game while HeartGold will be the more serious playthrough.)
