I was wondering is there any particular type of story, way of presenting a story or any particular media format that you would like to see the Pokemon world being presented in that it hasn't been already? (not including the games)
For me I have been thinking about what is out already, such as the movies, TV show, different manga's and even the different fan creations, and I've been thinking about what I liked and didn't like about them. While my general opinion was I'd like to see an anime aimed at an older audience with more depth to characters with a story that followed the basic principle of "beginning, middle and end" in order to give the characters an ability to grow with the story and allow it to have a solid and obtainable direction for better story telling.
However while thinking about it I came to the conclusion that it is unlikely, while Nintendo do seem to want to appeal more to an older audience their target crowed is still the younger generation for the most part. However what I would like to see and what may infact be possible (still doubt it will happen but it is possible) would be an actual novel based in the Pokemon world. There are plenty of goo authors out there and in recent times the amount of good books set in a video games world/ mythology is excellent (while it used to be none existent). I'm more than sure it is an obtainable goal to have a novel based in the pokemon world with reasonable/ good author and geared towards an older audience (probably in the teen literature category rather than adult). But as I said Nintendo will not likely do it... still it doesn't hurt to dream :)
So once again, is there anything that you would like to see?
P.S. I put this here as I'm not referring to any particular media, so it seemed like the best place.
