So what is your favorite aspect of Pokemon games? Battling? Just the adventuring to other places?

Mine is actually the whole adventuring and puzzle solving part. I'm not a hardcore battler like some people are.

    I would like to know.

I just wanted to beat my friends in the older versions of the game. We battled a bit, but our main goals were getting the best/strongest and most Pokemon.

E.G.: Stupid conversations like 'My Charizard is better than yours!'

'But My Blastoise is the best!'

    Dumn stuff like that.

Out of my friends nowadays I'm the only one who still plays, and my main motivation is to get all the Pokemon, find shinies and compete in various competitions on the board here :D

I like the puzzles, and the times that get you to really play.

Competetive is fun but I always restart my game every now and then.

Competitive battling definitely. It is more fun to fight human players who can actually think for themselves instead of computers. In-game trainers are too boring and predictable to put up of a good fight.

in gold/silver those games were perfect to me. the right ammount of everything and in its proper place. i cant comment on those, and i didnt like 3rd generation much.
in d/p all i'm going is battling right now, for the same reasons as fabio

That post contains everything I was going to say in a nutshell.

Travelling is by far my favourite aspect. Catching Pokemon is the other part.
But I rarely train other Pokemon beside my regular team.
Battling is fun too, but traveling and searching the region is more fun.

well i do most of that durring the story and after the e4. i'm done with that now. =( i'm just battling nonstop.
