Before the rate goes on, I'll strongly recommand you to read the advanced trainer's guide (link is in my signature) as this team violates some common errors made by some trainers, such as duplicated types (thunderpunch and thunder... both of them are electric so one of them is repeated and unnecessary). That'll be a good start.
Secondly, we usually expect all teams to be posted at their DREAM STAGE. That is, what you want your team to be in the end. If you fix up what you want your team to be first, then you don't have to "restart" any training because the nature is wrong and so on. Assume lvl 100s, any items with any TMs that you want (as that's how online battling works as well)
I'll work on top of the 2nd version of the team.
Kabutops- [atk + / sp.atk -] @ liechi berry
EV: Atk and Spd max
-Rock Slide
-Substitute/Endure
-Flail
-Brick break/hydro pump/rain dance
*note: if substitute is used, HP must be a number divisible by 4, plus 1
With a crappy special attack, nothing but hydro pump can do any damage, and even hydro is only half decent with STAB. Use substitute/flail to reduce your hp down to 1 hp purposely in order to use flail with liechi berry. Rock Slide to help STAB, and brick break can be used to go against normal types. Hydro Pump can also be considered to have something to do against Skarmory and Weezing. Can always consider rain dance to use swift swim and help out Ampharos (if Amp is using rain dance set as well)
Never use Slash. It is useless. Whatever Slash can do, Return does it better with 20 higher attack power. False Swipe cannot kill so why bother? (it's only good for catching pokemon inside the game, not battling)
Blaziken- [atk + / sp.atk -] @ salac berry
EV: Atk and Spd max
-endure/substitute
-reversal
-flamethrower/overheat
-quick attack/rock slide
I was never too fond of this guy when I tried him out... the speed was slower than I imagined. Same strategy as Kabutops, except now it's reversal not flail, and has a fire attack to beat the crap out of the evil metal chicken. You can also have the option to quick attack to kill off other reversal/flail users, but then that'll make you completely helpless to ghost types (you'll only have fire attacks against them then). However, you can't ahve it all.
Blaze Kick is useless. Whatever it can do, flamethrower does it better with higher power AND accuracy. Sky Uppercut has poor accuracy in comparison to brick break, which is by far a lot better due to accuracy and a very powerful side effect.
Venusaur1- [atk + / sp.atk -] @ leftovers
EV: Atk max, mix of the 3 defensive stats to your choice
-sleep powder
-swords dance
-sludge bomb
-earthquake/HP Fire
Try to survive one round, then pull off sleep powder. Swords dance up once then bombs away. Use earthquake to hit fire types, or HP fire to hit evil metal chickens. However, do take note that Venusaur is not that fast at all, and you cannot afford to be paralyzed or burnt. If you're playing with sleep clause, do take note that no more than 1 pokemon can be affected by sleep powder.
Venusaur2- [sp.atk + / atk -] @ leftovers
EV: Sp.atk, defensive EVs of your choice
-sludge bomb
-sleep powder
-razor leaf/giga drain
-HP Special
Same as always, survive and attack, then sleep powder. Except now you're using special attacks instead of physical. Keep Sludgebomb though. A STAB sludgebomb even without any attack EV can still hurt the evil egg by quite a bit.
Venusaur2- [def or sp.def + / atk or sp.atk -] @ leftovers
EV: Defensive EVs of your choice
-leech seed
-sleep powder
-giga drain/protect/synthesis
-offensive move /light screen
Leech seed version... however the slow speed doesn't appeal me to be a leech seed user at all in comparison to Sceptile and Jumpluff, and can't heal as much as Ludicolo too. However you can always try it out.
Always keep in mind that you can mix up the 3 Venusaur sets to what you think is the best for it. Toxic is also another candidate if you are stalling with venusuar (by do take note that grass type is weak to *quite a bit* of stuff)
Ampharos- [sp.atk + / atk -] @ leftovers/lum berry
EV: Sp.atk max, defensive stats
-thunderwave/rain dance
-thunderbolt/thunder
-light screen/reflect
-HP Fire or Ice/HP Water
Ampharos should be a special attack sweeper with the high sp.attack stats (atk on the other hand, is not as high... don't use iron tail EVER because it's highly inaccurate and we know steel attack sucks offensively. There are ampharos packing physical attacks, but they're purely for anti Blissey purposes with brick break, or using counter against Salamences). Thunderwave for paralysis, and then sweep away. Setup the barriers to help out.
The other set uses rain dance to make thunder usable, and it helps Kabutop's swift swim as well. Always remember- Lanturn Screws You, unless you have HP Grass. If you have HP Grass, then Eggy Screws You. So you can choose who to go against. Do you wnat to kill Lanturn, or do you want ot kill Eggy?
Dragonite- I have no clue how to use him... I tried though. Perhaps make him with haze... you need a hazer. You will... Dragonite is too flexible for me to use =/ It can be a utilizer with the barriers, and thunderwave, or a mix sweeper as it can learn too many things. However, with so much movesets it's too hard to choose the right EV for Dragonite (for me that is). So I'll stay out of this one so I won't be messing you up.
Pidgeot- [atk + / sp.atk -] @ lum berry
EV: Atk and Spd?
-aerial ace
-whirlwind/return/double edge
-HP Ground/Steel Wing *sigh*
-quick attack
Strongly suggest you to take Dodrio instead... it has higher defense, but so what as the type combo is weak to too many elements. It has slow speed (relatively), and attack power is not high enough to sweep. Keen Eyes gotta be one of the worst trait you can possibly have... But if you're playing with favorites, then use the set above and best of luck o.o;
