Best part(s) of being a girl:
Worst part(s) of being a girl:
You really do have more power over guys than most girls like to admit. While in general, a guy will never turn down a mildly attractive girl that propositions them, it's not that way for girls. If they're not in "the mood", too tired, too busy, or otherwise occupied, they have no problem saying no to a guy.
- The masculine/feminine duality. I personally think girls look adorable in guy's clothing, and they also look nice in girl's clothing. However, I would never ever want my boyfriend to start wearing girl's shirts or skirts.
- Limited responsibility in starting relationships. It's nice and all if a girl feels confident enough to make the first move, but it isn't even close to required of them, or expected.
- Being treated fairly well comparatively. It's not very politically correct to say this, but girls really do get treated better in general than guys. They'll have the door held open for them, they'll get a warning instead of a ticket, they'll be poked instead of hit.
Worst part(s) of being a girl:
- Periods, periods, periods. They stain your clothes, they make you moody, they give you pain, and you know that they'll just be back again and again and again.
- Being treated more gently. I know I put this in pros already, but it can also be a con. I remember a guy trying to shock me by saying some things that weren't particularly dirty, but he thought them to be. When I replied in kind, he didn't even know what to say and the conversation awkwardly ended because he expected a different reaction from me.
- Sexual responsibility. A girl has much more to worry about than a guy in that regard; if they mess up, they have a problem for possibly the rest of their lives. If the guy messes up, he may not even have to deal with it.
- Worrying about looks. When women look for men, almost every woman likes something different; some like lanky guys, some bulky guys, some chubby guys, etc. There aren't many guys that are objectively attractive to more than 1/4 of the population of women. On the other hand, there's a skinny yet curvy image that every man aspires to have as his woman. I've seen so many women that all look nearly the exact same, because that's what most guys want. It's really frustrating to know that while men have a lot of freedom in that regard, women are held to a very strict standard.
