What's your favourite Top 5 Pokemon Let Downs?

So many let downs to think of.

5. Professor Oaks Pokémon Poetry.
4. Pidgeot was forgotten.
3. New terrible DP series.
2. Team Rocket wont piss off.
1. It's all seems to nice, everyone in the group is too happy. Like the episode when Chimchar begins training, that done it for me. Stopped watching Pokémon after that.

I already posted but I just remembered a HUGE disappointment, it was in the series when Tracey Sketch'm *shudder* was around.
The foreground was a 3 second loop of pikachu running/falling
And the gang was walking in the background and Tracey Sketch'm only had THREE fingers, only they weren't fingers, they were spikey-triangles.
This "scene" was like a minute long of 3-spike Tracey, and 3-second pikachu fall!

What's your favourite Top 5 Pokemon Let Downs?

5.Pokemon Destiny Deoxys not realesed in UK
4.Ash gets a new Gay Voice in TV show
3.USA gets Pokemon games before Europe does
2.Team Rocket appears in every episode
1.Grovyle and Celebi don't come back PMD2

Wow, you are the thread starter and you didnt stick to the Pokemon Anime subject.

1. Misty dosenot return often
2. Harley was forgotten
3. Ash does not get a Riolu
4. Dawn hardly uses her Pachirisu
5. Brock is still traveling with Ash

5. Ash releasing every powerful Pokemon he's ever had.
4. Dawn's Buneary and Pachirisu.
3. Not enough action in the television series.
2. The ever present Team Rocket and their annoying Meowth.
1. May and Max leaving the show.

Although Max's whiny voice and laugh annoyed me, I was hoping for him to stick around, at least until he got his own Pokemon.

5) I know part of the episode plots are to involve some kind of negativity, but it doesn't always have to be about Team Rocket! Not dissing them in the slightest but to have them in every episode bar the very first, words still fail me...

4) An entire library full of people that Ash has met and never return in future, despite many of them saying they would surely see each other again. And that list is just going to keep growing and growing...

3) Misty can NEVER be replaced - as loveable as May and Dawn both are, neither of them will EVER be as tight to Ash and Brock. Yes they are both rookies, which was an awesome storyline to feature in Ash's "click", but the original gang will always be the best. I know Brock still in the show might seem a bit boring to a lot of people, but thank god for him keeping some of the originality!

2) Diamond & Pearl had big boots to fill, especially with the new voices and all. And on both parts, it's failed epically. Always will be a good watch, no doubt about that, but it has been a disappointing series so far.

1) Ash still making rookie mistakes. I can only just stomach how anyone who beats him in leagues gets creamed by someone else, as that can easily construe that anything can happen in that world. But as someone has already said in here, to beat a Regice, and then LOSE to Roark so epically, there's something wrong there...

The title is oxymoronic, but I'll ignore the "favourite" part and focus on the series.

5) Dawn. Not for replacing May, but for giving me the impression that the writers are going to lock the female characters into an endless loop of contest girls. It would be nice if the next girl broke the cycle, but it would be tough for the writers.
4) May. They build up her character across four seasons, and then in the end they drop her like a rock, almost never to be heard from again. Her departure would not be so anticlimactic if they actually gave her sufficient coverage later. Can anyone say Inuyasha Syndrome (Naruto the Abridged Series reference)?
3) Brock staying for D/P. Oddly enough I do not feel negative emotions towards Dawn for "replacing" May, and instead channel it towards Brock because they got rid of May, a central character in Advanced, yet they keep Brock, who is practically deadweight now.
2) Giovanni. He is implied to be powerful an influence in the Pokemon world, yet after Kanto he is shafted. The fact Team Rocket still exists makes this even more disappointing, although there is at least a chance his plotline might find resolution. In fact this would be the biggest disappointment if it weren't for:
1) Misty. Her departure had suddenly transformed her into a Messiah among the fanbase who prophesize her "second coming" to save Pokemon from its decline in quality (which is illusory, but that's a different story). Of course, if she stayed on the show, she would become another Brock, so her departure was good for her character, but now us sane Pokemon fans are forced to put up with Misty fanatics who put her on the same level as Jesus or Muhammed. Misty is like Ron Paul: overrated and overhyped.

I found this funny because I am not a libertarian. I am a liberal and I find Obama overhyped.

And yes, I stopped watching Pokémon when Misty left too.

1.gary always beats ash

2.Ash doesnt do much its all about dawn

3.Team rocket always battles then lose

4.to many movies

5.Ash cant win against paul!

thats what i hate about the show.

well now...
1. misty left. THE ORIGINAL TRIO SHOULD RISE AGAIN.
2. Max and May were annoying.
3.i dont have anything against brock, but he has just been on the show to damn long.
4.TR always fail.
5. Ash always uses weak pokes. DITCH PIKACHU, STARAVIA AND THE LIKE AND FILL YOUR TEAM WITH SNORLAX, CHARIZARD, MUK,AND EVOLVE BULBA AND SQUIRT.

Do I have to explain everything? I wasn't saying that Misty fans are necessarily libertarian.

Ron Paul is treated by the Internet community as a catch-all solution to all of the U.S.A.'s ills, just as Misty is to the Pokemon anime. Ron Paul supporters also tend to villify every other candidate, like Misty fanatics to the other characters. The Bring Misty Back movement reminded me a lot of the Ron Paul movement, which is why I brought it up as an example.

I find the way she talks annoying. Always speaking slowly, like an ignorant American rich girl talking to an english speaking mexican. As if they had to force her to come in to work today.

BTW, it WILL happen. We will see all females do contests. & while I'm at it, what's Brock's profession? I hardly see him do any "breeder" stuff, and no, it isn't a breeding reference to the game.

BE CAREFUL! EPISODE SPOILERS, FOR YOU HARDCOAR KIDS!
Spoiler:

3) Brock staying for D/P. Oddly enough I do not feel negative emotions towards Dawn for "replacing" May, and instead channel it towards Brock because they got rid of May, a central character in Advanced, yet they keep Brock, who is practically deadweight now.

Ah, I disagree, but only because I can't get enough girl flirting. You'd think after ten years, that would get old, but not for me, heh. Still, he is the voice of reason, I think the plot of the show would fall even more than it already has.

2) Giovanni. He is implied to be powerful an influence in the Pokemon world, yet after Kanto he is shafted. Exactly. Aside from the occasional crappy Team Rocket reference (by occasioal, I mean all to dang often), I never seen him in battle. Possibly because the show became so light hearted.

1) Misty. Her departure had suddenly transformed her into a Messiah among the fanbase who prophesize her "second coming" to save Pokemon from its decline in quality (which is illusory, but that's a different story). NUUUUUUUUU!!!!!! MEISTY IS LIEK, TEH KOOLEST! U R DUM! MEISTY & ASH 4EVAH! MEISTY VS MAY VS DAWN 4 ASH!!!!!

I swear, those frack'n fans are annoying.
I won't counter post you, that's rude, but a few things I really agree with, and disagree with.

My top five? Well...

5.Ash never beating the Poke league. Srsly. 14 freakin' seasons. 10 years. I understand why, of course. He needs room for improvement. It would just about end if he were the best. But still, get in second place or something >=[

4.The rapid change of voices, and the utter lack of real dialouge. I don't maind the first, but combined with the lack of real dialouge, I can't stand it. Sure, the voices are bad, but when you hear im say stull like "Ok, Hunter J! I'm putting an end to all your bad stuff!", makes me wanna punch him in the throat.

3.Every attack exploding every time. Usually, in black tarry explosions. If a flamethrower collides with a Thunderbolt, ok, fine. But when Razor Leaf makes smoke, there's a problem. While I'm on it...

2.EVERY SINGLE MOVE GLOWING. Sure, the occasional Iron Tail, Mega Punch, Steel Wing glowing is cool, but when Peck glows, Karate/Cross Chop glows, hell, even POUND glows (I mean, why?), it's taking it too far. Wing Attack glows. What's the difference between that & Steel Wing?

1.Last, but not least, it's Team Rocket, or te new generation. I don't mind their motto, but tey've been following Ash for years, & it's gotten old a long time ago. Honestly, it would not be so bad if they didn't appear EVERY EPISODE with some half assed plot. The sligtest attack sends them blasting off, and it's like, WTF, Pikachu just used Thunderbolt on Dawn's Piplup, & it was super effective! Why did Team Rocket blast off? Meowth joining in on mottos wouldn't be so bad, if he didn't sound like an offensivley poor imitation of a Brooklyn truck driver. Every time he opens up his greasy little mouth, a kitten dies.

Off the list, but still very annoying, is how often types are ignored. Seriously, Pikachu, stop aiming for the horn. It only works once.
