This is my team just as I'm about to enter the Seashore House whilst playing on Pokemon Sapphire. Hoping to use just the six Pokemon I want on my team without any extras like HM Slaves or anything.

Trapinch, lv. 20 - Bite, Sand-Attack, Faint Attack, Dig
Relicanth, lv. 34 - Water Gun, Rock Tomb, Yawn, Take Down
Sceptile, lv. 59 - Pursuit, False Swipe, Leaf Blade, Slam
Wailord, lv. 41 - Astonish, Dive, Surf, Rest
Nincada, lv. 11 - Scratch, Harden, Leech Life, Flash

Indicators of the fact that I just went to the trouble of catching Registeel.
 
Sorry I haven't been around so long... kinda got out of Pokemon for a bit and now I'm back into it...
I've been wanting to have a "All-Type," team. For Pearl I picked Steel, White I did Dragon and I started re-playing Leaf Green on my Mac.
I picked the following:

[Gyrados/Titanic][Lv. 41]
Water Pulse, Twister, Dragon Rage, Hydro Pump.

Psychic, Bubble, Body Slam, Hypnosis.

[Staryu/Carpathia][Lv. 37]
Recover, Swift, Return, Bubblebeam.

*I named my team after famous liners (White Star Liners) and ships that sunk, except Blastoise.

Okay, so my team has changed significantly since last time I posted. Now, I have just obtained the seventh badge and my team currently stands as this:

Holmes (Magneton- yes, named after Sherlock Holmes) lv. 41

Watson (Swellow- yes, named after Dr. Watson) lv. 36

Jenny (Machoke- named after Jenny Craig lol) lv. 38

Guenivere (Lairon- the steel reminded me of knights. And since Lairon is a girl, I named her after Queen Guenivere from the King Arthur legends) lv. 36

I just started to play Emerald again and I have yet to beat the Elite in this game :P

Linoone - Level 65 (Pickup ability <3)
Rayquaza - Level 70 (Just caught it)

In my Ruby Version in which I have the highest gametime of any Pokémon game I own my team is:
Swampy (Swampert) - Level 100 (My starter)
Roots (Venusaur) - Level 87
Marshtomp - Level 32 (Evolved from a hatched Mudkip)

I like recurring themes with my nicknames, hence the grass thing in Emerald, water in Sapphire, and minerals/rocks.

Emerald- I restarted last Friday and beat the game on Friday with this team:

Magneton- level 49

Ludicolo- level 40

I restarted Emerald a few weeks ago and I was targetting for an ending team of:

Rayquaza (Shiny)
Salamence
Absol
Blaziken
Gardevoir
Gligar or Sableye

Instead, I ended up with a better team

Blaziken - level 81
Flygon - level 81
Gyarados - level 80
Metagross - level 76 (still leveling it)
Salamence - level 79
I recently caught a Latios, but I am replacing it once I SR a shiny Rayquaza


Oh and I restarted Fire Red a few days ago, I am barely at Sabrina's gym in Saffron (4th badge), and this is my current team:

Venusaur - level 40
Pidgeot - level 42
Dragonaire - level 33
Jolteon - level 30
Growlithe - level 32

Once a long time ago I had quite a lot of lvl 100 pokemon, before my emerald was stolen.

I used to have:
Rayquaza
Gardevoir
Zangoose
Latias

always in my time, the other two spots were filled with what ever was fitting the upcoming task best.
