What's your pokemon pet peeve?

What part of Pokemon games come up that make you want to throw your GBA/DS/mouse across the room?

For me, it's Golbat in victory road.

Scenario:
Wild Golbat appeared!
RUN.
Cannot Escape!
Golbat used Confuse Ray!
Your Pokemon is now confused!

And it goes on for way longer than it should!
That's mine, what are yours?

Mine is when you play a game through one time completely fine and catch a bunch of legendaries in ultra balls/poke balls extremely easy then you play through the game again and its impossible to catch them.

It's when you caught all of Hoenn's Pokémon except Feebas and Milotic and you literally threw your Gameboy Advance and Sapphire at the wall.

Which, of course, broke it into tiny pieces.

When you get Pokémon over trade, and they have Japanese names and you can't change them. >_<

I actually find the Japanese names to be cool, but when they're stuck with those terrible ALL CAPS American default names or nasty nicknames...ugh.

Also, the whole unable to escape thing. Made me hate Golbats.

Well, I think Golbat is one of the top things on my list. It just gets so annoying after a while. I also hate how I could catch every region's Pokemon just fine, until I got to Sinnoh...then I almost used up about 50 Ultra Balls on those stupid Pokemon Mesprit, Azelf, and Uxie...I tried to catch Heatran, and that didn't work so I decided to save it for later.

When an ingame opponate hits you with a status condition and you can't do anything because of it (sleep max number turns, paralyzed and can't attack a million times, always hit yourself in confusion etc.) but when you do it to them they are barely affected. It seems to happen to me a lot...haha

I agree with a lot of the things you guys said too, especially the Golbat thing.

I went through my pokemon box on gold and there's a level 42 Golbat named RETARD. I was confused. But now I know.

This may not apply to the game itself, but my pet peeve is when people are like, "HAY N0oB POEKEEMAWN IZ 4 LITUL KIDZ GO GET A LIAF" Then I'm all, ">_> *FALCON PAUNCH*" :D

When my Pokemon gets confused and every turn it says "Randompokemon hurts himself in his confusion" and, then, I confuse the opponents Pokemon during that same battle and the confusion only lasts two turns...

I HATE that!

Hate double team. The Golbat thing ranks pretty high, as well as when trying to catch a legendary, you get it down to about 5 HP and have to throw 60-some ultra balls at it to catch it (That really bothered me to the point where I just destroyed Uxie and Azelf)

i hate oddish. every time i fight one it poisons or paralyzes me. its annoying.

This was kind of specific, but I was fighting a Dusclops in the Battle Tower and it confused and burnt my Empoleon, then Protect worked every time for 5 turns. I hated that... But my more general one is when you are in a hurry to get to a Pokémon Centre and every Pokémon in the grass attacks you, but when you are hunting for one, you can't find one.

I hate that when your Pokémon uses a Fury Attack/Fury Swipes/Fire Spin-type move 99% of the time it'll hit the enemy twice or thrice but if you're battling an opponent's Pokémon and it uses a similar move against you 99% of the time it'll hit 4 or 5 times. Much annoyance ahoy.

Zubats/Golbats in caves and Tentacool/Tentacruel in water areas are a massive annoyance also. Thank God for repels.

When I use a move like Sand Attack or Double Team, my opponent's moves hit me anyway. When they use it, all my pokemon constantly miss. Hate hate hate hate.

To avoid the 'bats I arm myself with repels, so they're not much of a bother.

I just remembered one:
Sandshrew (Brock's I think) knows Sand-Attack, Defense Curl, AND Double Team.

I nearly tore my hair out beating that one.

When you've got a good chain going for a shiny, and then it gets broken by something you hate, like Kricketune or Bibarel.

When you're trying to catch a rare and hard to catch Pokemon, and you're whittling down its HP with weak attacks, which takes ages and uses up your supply of Super/Hyper Potions, and you don't get any critical hits, until you get so just one more attack will take its HP down to the lowest it could possibly be, and THAT'S WHEN YOU GET A CRITICAL HIT! AAAARRRGHH!
