I will be using. Typhlosion,Ambipom,Politoad,PCP,Crobat,jumpluff. Even though this is what I plan to use I may change some.

Cyndaquil, simply because his speed and sp.atk are just fantastic. As for the rest:
For my water, either quagsire or politoed.
For my electric, magneton.
For my eevee, umbreon or espeon.
For my flying, Xatu if umbreon, and honchkrow if espeon.
For my bug, scizor or heracross.

Gotta have Arcanine in my team. And I didn't evolve Chikorita because I hate it's evolutions. x:<
 
I've changed it up many times since HGSS was announced back in September '09, but:

-Totodile
-Shiny Pichu
-Shaymin
-Gastly
-Arcanine
-Lugia

I've finally decided on my starter (as I wrote this, lol!). The decision was a result of elimination, actually: I'm using Shaymin as my grass type, so I don't need Chikorita, and I'd rather use Arcanine who now has Morning Sun as my fire type. Finally, there's no other water type I care to train until waaaay later when I can catch Suicune. I love them all equally, but Totodile fits best.

I'll evolve the Shiny Pichu into Pikachu as soon as I'm sure it won't void the Spikey-Eared Pichu event, though I'm almost certain it would still work. I'll never evolve it into Raichu.

Since Shaymin is restricted from Battle Tower, in-game is the only time Shaymin gets to battle, discounting competitive battling, of course. Plus, it's just awesome!

I'll catch that Gastly as soon as the sun sets. Gengar is one of my fav pokemon. Duh, my username?

The aforementioned Arcanine serves as my check against Pryce and Jasmine.

Lugia will be a permanent member of my team. It's arguably my fav pokemon, and it has been AGES since I had one (like, the original G/S).


When I reach Kanto, I'll have many options (too many, actually). Suicune, Zapdos, Latios/Latias, Groudon, Kyogre, Rayquaza, Mewtwo, and Ho-oh are all possibilities.

i'm gonna start out with Totodile.
If totodile is decent after i train him ill use him in the elite 4. I have a team full of lv. 100's from my platinum : Typlosion, Jolteon, Leafeon, Gliscor, Milotic, Aerodactyl, but i really want to take a new team and train it to beat the elite 4. Out of all the generations, the first 2 are my favorites so it should be fairly easy to do this. I'll definately use my Typhlosion and my Jolteon in my elite 4 team though. cannot wait for this game. just need to find a way to get $20 in 5 weeks.
 
my team usually has one starter pokemon, one electric, one water, one flying, one Eveelution, and one random pokemon (usually dragon or fire)- the team i use the most is
Meganium, Amphros, Poliwrath, Noctowl, Umbreon, and Dragonair (but sometimes i'll switch out Poliwrath for lanturn and dragonair for either Arcanine or Jumpluff)
 
I'm going to play through HeartGold and SoulSilver, and then either of the two again so I can use all three starters.

I've tried to get good type coverage across the teams, as well as using my favourite Pokemon.
 
I haven't played it yet but I'll have Cyndaquil and a flying Pokemon I always have a flying type when I start any pokemon game
