Which Starter Will You Choose?

The team Im using against Red is Tyranitar, Typhlosion, Victreebel, Blastoise, Skarmory, and Hitmonchan. They're all lvl 55-57 so I'm underleveled =/
 
My team has changed so much, about nine times before I even got the game.
I did a quick team re-shuffle the day before the game arrived, and then got scared of not having a grass type. (I have to have a Fire, Grass and Water type, 'cos I'm cool like that).
So, Cyndaquil was my starter, and Espeon was a definite companion. Mareep was also definite.
I thought I'd use a Gyarados, but I used one in Pearl, so decided against that. Then I was going to go for Froslass *swoon*. Yes, an Ice type, but Ice/Water Water/Ice. The only difference is temperature, right? Then I realised how many steps I'd need for the pokewalker to unlock the course containing Snorunt. Too. Much. Effort.
For Grass, I bred a Chikorita with the move Ancient Power, and then I traded and re-bred, so my SS character was the OT.
Flying was simple, Dragonite.
So I started the game with this team in mind. Without a Water Pokemon D;
Soon enough, I caved in a used the GTS to get a Totodile. Which I re-bred for the OT-ness.
Ta-dah! Team sorted. Until I got fed up with my lame Dragonair (which I made lame by ACCIDENT). I used Lugia instead. Ah, bite me.
So I'm using all three starters, and a legendary. Something which I didn't want to do. But they're the best set of starters imo, and Lugia is too amazing to let rot in the PC. That's what Ho-oh's for. *controversial - dun dun dun*
Anyways, YAY for Team Connor!
Although I really want to use Froslass, Milotic and Espeon in the same team! They're my favorite Pokemon.
 
My current team is Typhlosion, Aerodactyl, Heracross, Victreebell, Starmie, and Haunter. I'm keeping the Haunter because I like Haunter far better than Gengar, and since it's in-game I don't have to worry much about the stat disadvantage. Aerodactyl+Heracross were from trades.
 
My main storyline team was:
Typhlosion - Flamethrower, Gyro Ball, Lava Plume, Double-Edge
Quagsire - Ice Beam, Rock Smash, Surf, Earthquake
Victreebell - Leaf Blade, Sleep Powder, Flash, Leaf Storm
Ampharos - Charge, Discharge, Signal Beam, Rock Climb
Golem - Earthquake, Stone Edge, Double-Edge, Strength
Crobat - Fly, Cross Poison, Bite, Confuse Ray

But now I've put a lot of my main guys on HG from my Diamond so it changes alot :D Currently EV training a nice Slakoth :P

Froslass lv59 Female. Taunt, Destiny Bond, Shadow Ball, Ice Beam
Lapras lv48 Male. Ice Beam, Thunderbolt, Surf, Perish Song
Ampharos lv53 Female. Thunderbolt, Signal Beam, Focus Blast, Rock Climb
Gyrados lv41(lol) Female. Hydro Pump, Waterfall, Aqua Tail, Some other move.

I'm going for Red now though and my team is horrificaly underleveled. Any suggestions for changing gyrados would be well appreciated.
