No, he doesn't suck, you're probably just using him incorrectly. He's a physical oriented Pokemon despite being a water type.

I just beat Morty with Ariados. ^_^ Togetic took care of Gengar, but Ariados took care of everyone else.

I tryed not to use Pokemon that are WAY overused. Like the Shiny Gyarados

Just grinding them at the moment, getting them prepared to beat those Eeveelution ladies, catch Ho-Oh and make my way to the Elite Four and Kanto.
