Hey sorry to bring ev training up again as im sure everyone is sick of the questions but i need to know
Would it be better to rare candy a pokemon up to say lvl 20 and then ev train? so it can defeat the pokemon you are planning to EV against, without Exp.Share.

    Thanks :)

yeah, it's better because the pokemon is stronger than a Lv.5 Pokemon, so the training is easier :)

edit: i know that my english sucks

It doesn't matter, if will gain the same amount of EVs with or without EXP share (unless you equip a macho brace to it)

To be honest if my guy's level 1 or whatever, I'll start off the EV training against level 40ish opponents and just switch straight out. Doesn't use candies, you can get to level 15 or so really quickly, and you can still get Brace/Power Item boosts. Or you can daycare until they hit battleworthiness. Either is better than wasting the sweet, sweet candy.

yeah i usually level it up to the teen's at the day care too. it doesn't even take long with the bike, then it's off to training.

by the way, a pokemon with exp.share gets the ev's too, so it's not a good way to level up. it is however, a way to ev train when your pokemon is at a low level. of course, it's much faster if you have a brace or power item on it, start a battle with it then switch to a stronger pokemon for the KO.
