you cant get it in the game so its like trying to find a shiny.

If you really want one, ask for one in the Wireless Trade Center

There is no proof of the gold/silver remake yet (as far as I know anyway!) So, your best bet would be looking for him, he would be a shiny, so the odds are like 1/8192 but yeah. It's still a Chance. Loads of people have shinys, or a few people have loads of shinys, i dunno which way around it is. But yeah.. It won't be impossible.

How about fishing for a shiny Magikarp and evolving it? It would certainly be an easier way, if you're too weak to handle multiple encounters with wild Gyrados.

The easiest way is probably to use the Old Rod and wait until a shiny Magikarp appears.
Trading is also an option, and probably much easier, but catching a shiny yourself is always better! <--- I'm starting to sound... weird... =))

But uhm dude, Isnt it with shinies no matter if a parent or when it evolves the chances of it being shiny are the same as finding one?
