4th Gen Where should I train my pokemon?

    I have the strategy guide for diamond/pearl but it's terribly dissappointing. Doesn't provide nearly enough information on many subjects, especially the pokedex at the back. I have a couple questions, the first of which being.. where is the best place to level up my pokemon? Are there are any suggestions for leveling up faster? It is so tedious sometimes. My next question is.. which stones level up which pokemon? It doesn't even say in the strategy guide.. grr. Any input would be appreciated.
     
    Use the Vs. Seeker to face old challengers and train off that it takes patience though.
     
    I'm gonna answer the first part of your question:

    The strategy guide has a very, very basic version of the Sinnoh Dex. A National Dex companion should be released soon/has already been released, and contains full information on every single Pokémon.
     
    training against the elite 4 of course is a good option, but lately im too lazy for going trough the whole thing without being able to do something else in between.. so i fight the trainers at the fighting area with vs seeker.. and right now i train my starmie at victory road since eventough it's still 10 levels lower than the pokemon there, its faster and has type advantage to all wild pokemon (so you could also let it depend on your pokemon)..
    yeah, and yesterday i started a thread about the best places to EV-train, worth reading.. someone should make it sticky..

    Oh? uh.. i printed out like 100 pages from serebii and other sources by now and made my own strategy guide.. kinda cool actually, to have this 'playbook' like a football-coach has :D
     
    In a fit of unoriginality I've come to use the Spring outside Turnback and Regigigas's Shrine for my leveling needs.
     
    After EV training, Best place to train is either stark mountain trainers, Or Elite four.
     
    victory road and rematches with vs seeker.. also around snowpoint
