thats is exactly why i switch up my team every once in a while so if 1 person battles me they can't just turn to the next person who battles me and give them my whole team so they can mak e1 to counter me
 
I think you should go with the pokemon you like most and try to make a team out of that. I did and it consists of: Nintales, Lucario and many other things conveiniently weak to ground and have low defenses.

Creativity shouldn't be revealed, it should be kept to the user for personal use.

going with pokes you like def doesnt work. I know that just from battling Red in gold/silver/crystal. lol.

Competitive battling becomes more than just pokemon. It takes supreme strategy such as a game of chess. Its a mind game, where you have to think what the other person is thinking in order to win. Not everyone understands this

Very true indeed, which is why I love the game.

I agree and for some odd reason ... my team pwns a lot! it has decent offensive power and i love predicting my opponents moves and utilizing them in my favour. (Me first-ing Fly with a lucario is funny!)

I'm all a bit confused by that last line...

But I actually used a special agiligross (317 max special attack is pretty dang good!) and destroyed more skarms than magneton lol

You just have to predict switch-ins. It's a good idea to keep a standard move or two...so they figure, "a novelty special agiligross. at least bliss can beat it!" that's when you throw meteor mash at it :) Like any novelty set, you need spot-on prediction and skill...which is tough to execute for even the best players. Actually, i'll search into my Netbattle vault...

that kind of stuff-though that set is quite a stretch-can really help. Still, execution is crucial, obviously.
