Which is the best Pokemon game generation?

Which generation of game do you think is the best? It doesn't have to be the one where you could do the most, it can just be your all time favourite.

Fire Red/Leaf Green. It is the original with the new. A mish/mash of two worlds. ^^

Ditto, I like that they went back to the beggining. It's [FirRed/LeafGreen] like a 1st generation game with updated graphics.

I enjoyed Ruby the most. Everything was new including the storyline.

My all time favorite is the Metal Generation [G/S/C]. I love the Pok?mon, the region, and the new concepts that it brought on. =3 Plus, Gold was the first Pok?mon game I ever played.

I just love the metal generation games. They had the best music, great pokemon (espeon, totodile and dunsparce for example) I also liked the maps.

I liked 2nd generation the best too.

It came out after I was getting bored with my Green version, and the day/night system was so great.

Hard choice becasue Red and Blue were the coolest becasue things were simple. But Fire and Leaf is cool becasue they are just well updated.

Fire and Leaf I got to say are the top favorite because it is update. Old school with a taste of new flavor.

I have always liked R/S/E the most. There are so many interesting attributes in R/S/E than any of the other games.

I love the metal generation games, they had night/day, johto and kanto and at the time you could get every pokemon.In R/B/Y you could catch all the pokemon at that time too but G/S/C was way cooler.

Too true, the middle child, G/S/C is the best! The internal clock, the access to both worlds, it rocks! Plus I only have a Game Boy Color so I can't play Ru/Sa
