Well, I'd like useless and weak Pokémons as starters. Mainly because its your very first Pokémon and you start out with weak stuff, but you'll find stronger ones eventually.

These are the Pokémon I want as starters:

Farfetch'd, Dunparce, Qwilfish, Corsola, Delibird, Smeargle, Sableye, Mawile, Spinda, Luvdisc, Pachirisu, Chatot, and Rotom.

So which Pokémons would you like as starters? legendaries, ubers, dragons, or are you just fine with the starters we have?

I enjoy they rock-paper-scissors of the starters of gens 1-3 (Gen 4 wrecked it when infernape hit torterra for SE with fire and empoleon for SE with fight). Therefore I'd like to see a dark-fight-psi matchup for a bit of variation. Of the current pokes, I'd choose abra's line, machop's line and larviatar's line, since all three become potent stage-3 pokemon.

the first 3 starters where legendary! but mudkip is so cute he's awesome!

i would like to see ****n as a starter and eevee mabye?

As El Gofre said, keeping the rock paper scissor rule we could have a Grass, Rock, and Bug Pokémon as starters.

I think I actually like it the way it is for now...I see no problem
though I wouldn't mind eevee being a starter maybe?

I'd pick Mudkip cuz he's cute & after he becomes Swampert, he'll have nice HP and other stats as well

Budew, Gible and gastly are starters I would love.

How about keeping the rock-paper-scissors rule and have a water, ground & electric type for starters?

I like dragons so it would be good to have a Dratini, Bagon and Gabite as the three starters.

wouldn't work. ground is immune to electricity, not just strong against it

It will work. Water defeats ground, who defeats electric, who defeats water.

It's not just advantages that matter in a cycle. It has to work the other way as well. Having one type immune to the other is taking that a bit too far than a normal weakness.

Also, some of you are forgetting the cycle it pretty much has to stick by. The three starters must be in a triangle, because that's only fair. Each one has a weakness and strength against another's primary type.

Also, the Pokemon have to able to evolve the same way. In the game, it's pretty much a given you and your rival have your starters fully evolved. But what if you can only achieve that final evolution by trading (Haunter to Gengar, for example)? And you're pretty much isolated from other players with no Wi-Fi to speak of? And by friendship? That's like forcing you to play with your starter as your main Pokemon. I know several people who prefer to use other Pokemon more due to preference.

All dragon wouldn't work. They'd have no resistance against another dragon type. There are patterns the gamemakers pretty much have to follow. I don't see the water-grass-fire triangle for starters disappearing anytime soon.

... But, none of this means that I wouldn't like Eevee for a choice in starter xDD

Ok, following the pattern we could have starters with the types of:

    1. Rock, Flying, Fighting
    2. Poison, Grass, Ground
    3. Steel, Rock, Fire

I can't think of anything more, all of these typings are perfectly balanced. Supper effective against and not very effective against, there isn't immunity or neutrality in any of these lists.
