Which would you guys recommend in crystal, Hypno, or Slowking? And what would be good movesets for the two?

for crystal, then i guess hypno:
    psychic
    tpunch
    ipunch
    fpunch

    rather go with alakazam

    slowking
    surf
    ice punch
    psychic
    fire blast

i rather go with slowking but in the end alakazam is better

Well, i have an alakazam, but i'm trying to get together a psychic team, and i need to know which would be better in the team.

Slowking or Slowbro... then you get the water diversity which is quite lacking for a psychic team.

    Slowking/bro @ leftovers
    -psychic
    -rest
    -surf
    -flamethrower

    I think Crystal move tutors allow flamethrower... mmhmm! Another alternative maybe using sleep talk in there somewhere or something... ._.; I was never that good with RS and even worse when it comes to GSC x_x;

Well, maybe i'll use both then, so that hypno can be my curser. So far i have Espeon, Alakazam, Girafarig, and now Hypno and Slowking.

well for a psychic team id go with alakazam, espeon, starmie, executor, xatu, and girafarig.

I'll rather dump espeon for slowking... as much as there's coolness factor as Espeon's one of the eeveelutions, Slowking/bro will be a lot more useful being the only Pokemon with a high defense on a psychic team.

Starmie and eggy are other diverse types. Starmie maybe the same type as Slowbro/king, but it does a completely different role as a fast sweeper with thunderbolt, ice beam and all those nice moves. Eggy is a lot weaker in GSC compare to sunny day chlorophyll in RS, but it's still a strong Pokemon. Xatu isn't quite that useful without thunderwave in GSC... I'll get Hypno instead of Xatu with curse as a physical attacker. Hypno isn't all that bad with a natural high sp.def, and curse to help with physical defense.

    Slowbro@Mint Berry
    Rest
    Amnesia
    Surf
    Psychic

    Good Mewtwo killer

    Slowbro > Slowking any day.

    Twave
    Rest
    Surf/Psychic
    Flamethrower/COUNTER

It also learns Amnesia, Curse in case you want tankage.

    Hypno: Very good annoyer

    Twave
    Seismic Toss
    Attract
    Sub/Rest

What would be a good role for Alakazam to play in the team? Special sweeper maybe?

I dont think that Alakazam can be anything other than Sp. Sweeper...

Ok then, which should girafarig pass, amnesia or agility?

amnesia... it's the only Pokemon besides Smeragle in GSC who can pass amnesia, so why not? Plus it helps your tankers like Hypno and Slowbro. Agility? Ehh... psychic types are either so fast that they almost need no extra speed anyway unless you're against jolteons or something, or they are so slow like Slowbro that one agility still won't allow them to be fast enough to do too much.

Alright then, here are some movesets for my pokemon so far:

    Alakazam (mixed sweeper???)@leftovers
    -Psychic
    -Recover
    -Counter
-barrier (so he can survive for counter)

    Hypno (curser)@leftovers
    -Curse
    -Psychic/Shadowball
    -Submission
    -Rest

    Slowbro (tank)@Leftovers/Mintberry
    -Amnesia
    -Rest
    -Flamethrower/Earthquake/Toxic/Surf
    -Flamethrower/Earthquake/Toxic/Surf

    Girafarig (BPer)@Leftovers
    -Amnesia
    -Baton Pass
    -Psychic
    -Crunch

And I'm not sure who else I'm gonna have, so I'll stop there.

You don't need passing agility cuz most psychics can Twave well.

Well, I realized that what i need on this team is a hazer, so does anyone know of a good psychic that might be able to learn haze?

Natu and Zatu can learn haze. But i would suggest pseudohaze, to destroy an Umbreon's mean look (ur party's arch rival). Lugia can learn both roar and whirlwind, and if those r the only pseudohaze moves ur outta luck, cause only Lugia and Mew can learn 'em. Not sure if there r ne other pseudohaze moves, but i thought Zatu should be able to learn Whirlwind.

    I know that Xatu has haze but not so sure about whirlwind... I don't think so. But Xatu isn't that useful without thunderwave in GSC -_-;

    Xatu @ leftovers
    -confuse ray
    -haze
    -toxic
    -fly

    *randomly throwing things together*

    Pseudohazing method #2:

    Perish song.

but that's provided that you don't get swept in 3 turns... plus you're just indirectly promoting Jynx ;p
