[Question] Who and what sort of people do I need to help create my fan game?

Even when I started my first account on this website, I never knew what all the roles/positions of people who know how to create a part of a fan game were. Once I get started on a new computer, I'll download what I need to start making my project and show off some screenshots. But until then, I would like to know the list of all roles a team which makes a Pokémon fan game happen in a full list so that when I post my game idea on Game Development/Recruitment, at least I know what I'm asking for. Can someone help me with this?

truth be told, games can be made solo for years if you dedicate enough time to learning everything. as for what you would want, people who can do the following are the bare bone basics:
    Writer
    Coder
    Artist
    Mapper
    Eventer

The Writer to help you determine the flow of your story
The Coder to add scripts the base engine doesn't have
The Artist, and the most popular to ask for, to make your graphics
The Mapper, to lay out the way your maps look
The Eventer, to bring your stories to life.

be mindful that if you can't present your game in a good light people won't express interest in the project, and in my case, the overall style itself can be a turn off

I think i understand. I'll try creating my game and then post some screenshots as i ask for help from those who can make the overall style better as long as i can impress them with some luck.

Great post! But what is the difference between the Writer and the Eventer? Wouldn't one of the writer's main roles be writing "life" into the script?

And in this day and age I think you should add an Advetiser Role for promoting your game and building a fan base! Someone who is savvy with Twitter, YouTube, discord, etc

The eventer would primarily be used to sort of give in game cutscenes their life. A writer would be responsible for the majority of world building in the narrative sense, but at the end of the day, the eventer will be the one to move all the characters around the map. the Eventer basically bridges the gap between writer, artist, and on occasion Coder

I am a member of the PokeCommunity Discord and I would like an Advertiser to help promote the game; maybe even help create a website if possible for the fan base of it. Still though, I will try to create the fan game on my terms and see what screenshots I can make to help recruit new members. I can even start a new Discord server in the meantime.
