    Uses exp share to build up your team. I tend to do this most times. Or at least, my start is always a ton of lvls ahead of my other pokemon. Anyone else play this way?

    nope... =P
    I usually pick a team of 3 pokes, then play with just 3. Its easier to level them really high, so even if i don't have a type advantage, i can power through.

    hmm that sounds like a good idea, i just need to figure out which 3 would be best...

    Ha, yeah, I've spent days looking at the guide book to pick 3 pokes I like. I'm trying to do that for D/P now, I plan on doing the game through, then going back and making a competitive team with EVs and such.
    So far my team is...
    -Togekiss.... Favorite 4th gen...

    I need more ideas, and I don't really like any of the starters :\

    yeh mee too.
    In emerald, i hade the hardest time traning, but easiest beating e4 (w/o r-quaza)
    I started with these Three:
    Poochyena
    Torchic
    Lotad.

    I'm probably gonna have all 3 starters as my three pokemon in d/p as i'm gonna get both games..

    I find that training up a team of say 3-4 Pokemon at the same time is easier, and then rotating Exp Share on each of them to gain experience. I've never just trained up the starter, especially here in D/P.
