Who is Ash's father anyway?

Nobody knows who is father is. He was only mentioned in the start of the series. Mabye he is not to be known. He just make the series more interesting. And it seems it has for about 8 years now. My opinion. Either way, I believe there will be a battle when they meet.
 
hmmmm...very good i agree with Zaikiro especially about the fact that it makes the show more interesting.....hey, it's tru ya'know

I personally belive that Ash's father is someone who has not yet been met in the show, and we porbably won't meet him til like the end of the series, as someone previously mentioned. But I think he's some really good trainer who's too obsessed with traing and pokemon so that's why he left his family, to be the ultimate master, that's why he'd be proud of Ash because that's also Ash's goal! :)

This is just my opinion, I have often wondered who Ash's father was, but in the end I don't think it's important to to the show, not at the moment anyways!
 
On this other site that is for this fanfiction series it says that they think Ash's father either died or is Professor Oak, and they would ad a twist to the Gary-Ash rivalry. Or perhaps he is Givoanni, but I don't think they look a lot a like.

You bring up a good point. If Silver is Giovanni's son, how can he (Giovanni) be Ash's father? There's ways.

I mean look at Fullmetal Alchemist. Edward's dad was cheating on his mother. Maybe it's the same with Ash's father. All I know is if they ever reveal who his dad is, whether or not it's Giovanni, there'll be a ton of emotion in it.

"Pokemon Special" is the name of the manga, if I'm not mistaken.

Now that I think about it, Delia (Ash's mother) has red-ish hair too, doesn't she? Maybe reddish brown. Just thought I'd bring that up.

This makes the most sense because Delia says "Your father WOULD be proud of you. This basically means he is dead or not coming back.

true true....yes this is the right answer, he died or maybe not coming bak but they never talked about how he died or where he went, maybe they don't know,maybe it's still a mystery 2 this......i wouldn't make it such a big deal ppl -_- i mean seriously i think the ppl who created the pokemon show have forgoten all about the thing with ash's father, so don't expect nething 2 happen or an episode 2 1 day *** and talk about this or actually show his father........now does every 1 agree 2 this statement? i dunno about u but i do....if u don't, plz state ur reason.

Who is Prof Oaks kid, Gary's dad or mom?
 
Prof Oak isnt Ash's Dad. If i can remember rightly...in the movie Pokemon 4EVA, Ash meets that dude who travelled in time with celbi...then prof oak say something about him towards the end and it shows him with the sketch book the dude had, so it isnt him.

I dont think Prof Oak has a kid...Gary is Prof Oaks nephew, i think.

1.In the Polish Version , Prof. Oak says that he is his grandson
2.I think his dad is a Bardock/Kakarot/Goten type , meaning he looks just like Ash , but an older version , like Shobu's dad , BTW most (?) of the cartoon boys looks exacly like their dads , so maybe that solve this theory , i think that he looks like him tough :)
 
First of all, I found out that Prof. Oak is Gary's Grandpa. If there was any connection between Ash and Prof. Oak, it would be that Ash is his half-grandnephew/ or real grandnephew. Second, Giovanni's relation with Ash is very slim to none. Giovanni's son has red hair, and hasn't shown up in the series, only in the Metal version games. If Ash is Giovanni's son, Red-head would have to have a separate mother.


That's what I thnk about Ash's father being a real person from the series. Though I'm still curious, so I made up a semi-logical fiction story about him(I'm posting this to all forums who wonder about Ash's dad, and see how they think):

One of the days that Ash's dad went on his journey, Giovanni found him and asked him to do pkmn genetic research. He accepted, and was one of the few to find Mew's DNA. Once he helped find the hair, Giovanni betrayed him.

His body vessel was used as Mewtwo's structure (which would explain Mewtwo's human-ish body) and got his mind erased from the opperation.

That's what I think. I don't care if you disagree, it's just my crazy idea.
 
maby Ash is a ditto transform into a human! hahahah na his father is just probley some random PoKeMoN tranner that decided that going on PoKeMoN travles was more important than being a father at home....:laugh:

I really doubt that the writers of the show will show Ash's father seeing as they were too lazy to give all the main characters other then Ash a last name. =\

Not nessicerilly(sp?). Ash's father obviosly doesnt talk to Delia, so he Would be proud if he knew what happened.
 
it's possible that Ash's father have all ready been shown in the show, maby in the back ground, or some body that Ash has meet. But they did not make it known. Than agian, the leader of Team Rocket could be Ash's father. It whould really make a great episode if they miad one about Ash's mom remember his father, well at less when his father was younger, and not really showing who he his. But hiting at who he his..
 
I read somewhere that Domino is Giovanni's daughter.... so if some people think that Ash is his son, would Ash and Domino be sliblings?? .... I dont really believe that Ash's father is Giovanni... but it was just a thought...

Misty's last name is Williams... I've seen on some VA sites having to do with Rachel Lillis... as for Brock... I wonder what he last name IS.... x___x
 
Misty Williams that sounds like a lie. But I think Giovanni could be Ash's father. Maybe Delia threw him out as soon as she figured out what he been doing. But does anyone know Giovanni's last name, because Ketchum could of been Delia's name.
