I do and in my opinion, the graphics don't define the game, the gameplay such as the story line and such is what really matters. And plus, without these games, we would have D/P or R/S/E
    Just saying.
    What's your opinion?

I play them for the nostalgia. I get really old school with Green Version, too. First EVER POKeMON game. :)

Really? I thought Yellow was. Huh.
Yeah I play for the nastalgia as well. The newer games get boring sometimes...

What? Yellow was made after Red and Blue... how can it be the first?
Green was released a year before Red and Blue and it was never released state-side. ;)

    NOTE: Gyarados looks high in Green Version. >.>;

Weren't Red and Green released at the same time in Japan? Their Green was just the same as our Blue, that's all. (And their Blue was the same as our Green--except we never got a Green Version :X) To be really technical, though, our Red and Blue were based on the Japanese Blue's engine with just the version exclusives of the Red and Green games, respectively. But enough of that.

I've played Red and Blue, but not much into Yellow. Out of them, I preferred Red. If I want to play the "old" games I usually stick to the 3rd Gen remakes, due to better movesets and stuff. Missingno. and Mew Glitch were always fun, though.

The Oldest One I have (other than the ROMS) is Gold Version. and Hellz yeah i play it
I play It 4 Nostalgia and also because it was just more fun in the Johto region than anywhere else. at least in my opinion

Well this is in respect to the american Blue and Red versions... the only Japanese game I have in the series is Green.

But yes. Green and Red were released at the same time in Japan. The Red and Blue we know is just the 3rd game in the series, Blue, and a Red version of it. The POKeMON were redesigned to look better and some encounters were changed like the ability to catch a Lickitung in the wild and the Unknown Dungeon was totally redesigned.

Lol, I still play Red, Blue and Yellow regularly, but I'm not too keen on Yellow, cos although Pikachu rocks, it's not a great starter for the game!
Give me a Bulbasaur or Squirtle anyday!

Yeah I still play them, they own. Nothing wrong with them except the graphics!

I never got into it because I got Yellow when I was a little kid and never looked into it. G/C/S were really good too. Johto is the best region.

    o.o^
    me do!
I play them because they rule of course! ^w^

I play my Crystal all the time (my Gold and Silver's internal battery died on meh ._.)

I even play Yellow sometimes, although I never really liked that arc. I didn't enjoy FR/LG much, either.

If I could find any of my others I'd definitely play them, but for now I just have Red and I'm definitely playing it. I can't even really play post-Y2k Pokemon games because I just can't stay focused on them. RBYGSC any day, man. Brilliant, genius games they are, and the new ones only wish they could hold up to their glory.

I still play yellow quite a lot, since I lost Red/Blue, and Gold/Silver have thier save batteries dead. D:
