I was thinking of making a Darkness deck like this when I got the cards, most o fthem will be easy to get, except the Jack Vipers, in fact I already have some of the cards I need. It's a Jack Viper, destruction deck.

    Creatures:
    4 Marrow Ooze, the Twiser
    4 Gregorian Worm
4 Grey Balloon, Shadow of Greed
    4 Wailing Shadow Belbetphlo
3 Jack Viper, Shadow of Doom
    3 Bloody Squito
    3 Shadow Moon, Cursed Shade
1 Photocide, Lord of the Wastes

    Spells:
    4 Terror Pit
    4 Critical Blade
    4 Death Smoke
    2 Ghost Touch

    Rate and fix.
    :D

True, but they can always produce mana. If your going to run something you might as well run it in at least two, so I'd have to take two cards out something I'd rather not do.

'Vanilla' creatures refer to creatures that are played in almost every deck of a certian civ, (ex. Immortal Barron Vorg is a 'vanilla' Fire creature) and needed in that deck. So Gregorian Worm isn't a vanilla Dark creature, because he isn't in every Dark deck, and isn't needed, he is used for extra speed more opften than not.

Wait Mullet, don't you mean "staple" when you said "vanilla"? Because the last time I checked "staple" meant it should be in every deck of that particular civ and "vanilla" meant "no abilities".

And I love Mongrel Man. So ridiculously fun to play with. The decking out isn't really an issue from when I played mongrel man excessively, rather it allows you to outrace your opponent in any possible stalemate encounter. Personally speaking Mongrel man might be a staple for darkness...

If you have destruction then it will be a problem. Staple is different, that means that it basicly has to be in the deck. 'Vanilla' means that everyone seems to play it because it works. Like in Human Rush decks, Borg, and Explosive Dude Joe get a lot of play because their quick, and can be evoloved into Valdios, or Groblav.
