Who wants to help a noob??

well, go to the user CP, you will find a list were is wittren edit avatar, chose your avatar or put one that you like.
 
Also, you can find an avatar picture in the Internet. When you like the image that u can LEGALLY use, right click on it and click view image. Than copy the URL on the page and paste it on where pokecommunity asks you to. I hope I helped:)

Even though avatars from other URLs are automatically uploaded to the server when you do that, that's still Hotlinking the image. You can just as easily save it to your computer and upload it to the server directly or to an image host and link from there.
