I picked Groudon. everyone else picked kyroge. I guess that makes me um......... hm..... I'll get back to you on that.

3rd Gen who's the best? Groudon/Kyogre POLL:P

Battle-wise: Kyogre > Groudon...usually.
Their stats are pretty much the same except for the Special and Normal stats switched around. So it comes down to Speed EVs and personality. The fastest one will have it's weather effect activated first, so that means it'll be canceled out.
Eg. Kyogre has 190 Speed Groudon has 100 Speed
Kyogre's Rain effect will kick in once it's sent out. Then Groudon is sent out next and it's ability kicks in canceling out the rain. Same goes vice versa.
And as for Solarbeaming Groudon, it's not very effective since it's Sp. Atk. stat isn't its forte. Even with the sun, it's still not much against Kyogre. Kyogre will only be knocked down to a little over half-life prolly.
So...Kyogre gets my vote even though I don't use ubers.

I say they are pretty much even,cause Groudon can take Kyogre out with it's solar beam,but if kyogre strikes first the it's over so they are pretty much Kyogre=groudon.

Kyogre is definetly the better one; it's type and stat advantage is perfect. it's sp.def. is high enough to resist any special move at least once. and with one surf attack groudon can be dead, so kyogre>groudon

yeah but still ifthey were both level 100 groudon will beat kyogre because he will have earthquake so there i stik with both reallyDratini927 said:Kyogre does have an Advantage over Groudon by far. Even if they're not going one on one, Kyogre would still have the advantage over other Pokemon too. It's stats are very strong, and can be used as a strategy against other Pokemon.
(Despite stats, I still like Groudon. :P)
