why are so many people in their 20s taking so long to grow up?

I don't know I guess they are just being lazy.

My parents say I am growing up fast.
 
Eh what's the hurry to grow up? I'm 21, I have my own house and have held onto a job for almost 4 years now but I still manager to be childish and have fun :) Everyone 'grows up' in their own way but srsly, there's no need to hurry the process up, enjoy yourself, live at home if that helps you save money and 'grow up' when you're ready!
 
I stayed at home for two years after high school; and I've now been living on my own for less than two months now. I went to my local community college, but transferred somewhere away from home and I now live on campus. I might move back in with my mother when I finish my BA and start law school, mainly due to financial reasons.

I don't plan on living with my parents forever, and I'll be on my own for the next two years anyway 9 months out of the year. I plan on getting my own real place after I finish law school and am admitted into the State Bar, but given the state of the economy, nothing's guaranteed.
