Why did the banned/restricted list even touch Zombies?

    Why?


    When where Zombies actually hurting the meta? I mean grant it they could Otk alot of decks

    ex. Activate Foolish Buriel, throw Mezuki, remove Mezuki Special Summon Ryu Kokki, play Buriel, get Mezuki, remove for another such Zombie or even Synchro Summon.

    Zombies havent been that great of a deck either. They hurt Zombies by restricting

    Call of Safe Return to one
    Limiting Mezuki to one
    Goblin Zombie to two


    This decks dead now. But you never know, Zombies might be great this format...
     
    Eh, three free Monster Reborns was a bit pushing it.
    You still have Zombie Masters. That thing is a little bastard anyway - you could get three Stardusts on the field if you really wanted to.
     
    Yea I guess when they thought about killing Tele-Dad decks, they must have thought Zombies where going to be the tier one deck along with Lightsworn.
     
    Zombie-Synchros were the top deck in Japan and doing way too good, so that's pretty much it.
    This Zombie fix + Goyo/Brionac limit pretty much did its job.
     
    In Japan it might have, but we don't even have that Brionic yet.

    That does not matter in the least. After all, this list was coming directly from Japan, so what matters is what was affecting their metagame. Zombie Synchro was a major deck, so its power was cut down. Simple as that.
     
    Yea all that matters is Japan's meta. Well Brionics limited to one anyways, so Zombies won't be number #1 here.
     
    they really stuck it to zombies when they limited plaguespreader. but with these changes come with new ideas for zombies.

    Apparently, twilight zombies is coming into play and working well. >.<
     
    Zombies are still decent if ran right...and Mill decks seems like they would appear a little bit more because of the third Book of Moon though it is kinda useless to have three Book of Moon with three Eclipse in there
