Why Do Cute Pokemon Turn So Ugly?

Different peopl find different Pokemon cute, heck, someone might find Magnezone more cute than magnemite. It's persona preference. Anyway, I agree and disagree. I think Meganium and Espeon are just as cute or cuter than Chikorita/Eevee. :3 Then, you get Pokemon such as Yanma, which turn into the Yanmega. So yeah, I kinda agree and disagree here. :\

Hm. I haven't really noticed this before. I don't use Pokemon because of the way they look. I use them for stats.

But, to be fair, when Pokemon get to their third evolution, you want them to look tough. Cute is for baby Pokemon and the first stage.

Well I think they should give us the option of NOT evolving a Pokemon but still giving it competitive value.

And there are a LOT of Pokemon that are both cute and powerful. Examples: Mew, Blissey, Raichu/Pikachu, Lanturn, Ampharos, Vaporeon, Espeon, Eeveelutions, etc.

Blissy is not cute at all it looks like a pink blob with frills, and i think mamoswine and poliswine and swmpert are awesome there not ugly, there just not cute i think there cool

Some pokemon remain cute~
Igglybuff, Happiny, Eevee, Skitty, and pichu, for example, all stay cute in their final evolutions

And some go from cute to cool
Cyndaquil is a cutie, and Typhlosion is badass
And Shinx is also extreamly cute, while Luxray is cool

and we also get Cute to beautiful
Budew is also cute, and through evolution, we get the beautiful Roserade
same goes for Ralts, Lopunny is also quite pretty

though Beauty is in the eye of the beholder,
while you might think piloswine and swampert are very unattractive pokemon
there are some people who think the opposite :3

Glameow is underrated because of its evolution. I dont evolve it ever.

I like all Pokémon, even Feebas and Magikarp. Most of my favorites are final forms. There's even an anime episode that deals with this subject, but I don't think it's dubbed yet. I often end up using "cute" and "cool" Pokémon in the same party. I'll give you an example.

Q: Is Togetic cuter than Togekiss?
A: Depends on your opinion. I find them both equally cute.

Q: Does Togetic have better stats than Togekiss?
A: No.

I normally use first and baby forms for contests, but I use them for battles sometimes.

Something being cute or ugly is a matter of opinion. Some characteristics seem universally cute or ugly, but some people may disagree with those things as well. I think tangrowth is cute, but I would assume most people do not think that.

They did that so players would use EVOLUTION CANCEL more ofter

I think Tangrowth is cute, too.

Like other people have said "beauty is in the eye of the beholder." If you want to be like Gym Leader Whitney from Goldenrod, use the Pokemon whose final evos you find "cute." Such as Blissey, Mightyena, Bellossom, etc.

I think Fearow looks very cute in Leafgreen version. (It's in my party.)

It also depends on the sprite in game. Some Pokemon were made to look a lot cuter in Platinum.

I don't use pokemon depending on cuteness. I use them based on how useful they are in battle.
