Why is it always Ash...

    ...that's the "chosen one" in all the movies? I mean give someone else a break for once. I think it was Misty with the bond with Manaphy and Max with Jirachi and all but Ash is the one who always gets to ride on the Pokemon which irritates me. Let Brock get the ride. And how come it's Ash who resembles the Aura Guardian in M8 and has the electric monster in M12?! I'm not sure if this is a pointless thread, I hope not.

    So, who would you like to see as the "chosen one" who gets the glory? And do you agree with me? :)
     
    Well seeing how Ash is the

    "Chosen ONE"

    it makes sense that he gets to do all the cool stuff every time. It could even be justified by only the fact he's the lead character.

    It was May with the bond with Manaphy. Brock would be thankful if he didn't get left behind for once.
    And seriously, only Ash can pull this stuff off because it'd be pretty out of character for anyone else to ALMOST DIE so frequently. Nobody else is that dumb foolish suicidal courageous.

    Makes sense, just hope he actually dies for once jeez. But I see your point as in M12, the others were scared but he stupidly went to meet Arceus. I just want to see a different Chosen one, maybe Dawn should get a staring role, or did she get one in M11? And Brock, Brock's cool. Or someone NEW! Like the people who actually have interest in the subject, eg. Sheena from M12 (sorry, as I watched it yesterday, it's the only one I most know about, though I've seen the rest) should have got more praise than Ash...

    Um...hello? The whole "chosen one" thing was only in Pokemon 2000.
     
    Besides being the chosen one, strange coincidences also have happened in the movies.

    -Why was Ash near Mewtwo's base around the time he needed it?
    -Why did Molly want Ash's mom?
    -Why was Ash in the Forest of Time when the Iron Masked Marauder barged in?
    -Why was Ash in Alto Mare when Annie and Oakley took it over?
    -Jirachi picked Max. >_>
    -Why was Ash in Laroussse City when Deoxys came and brought Rayquaza?
    -Why did Ash have the Aura?
    -Manaphy picked May. >_>

    This is what I mean, other Trainers exist, and are in that same place but it's always Ash... I think this thread is like the other one I made since I'm saying that they should get rid of Ash in the movies...

    That's because Ash has the ability to alter reality during tough situations. Is a ground-type troubling your Pikachu? The horn is now a weak point. Turned to stone? Tears now have the power to bring you back from the dead. Feeling lonely? Girls dig guys who destroy their bikes! Is a rotund pirate making off with a legendary Pokemon? Ash learned Volt Tackle!

    I always wondered if other trainers also have the same crazy adventures as Ash...

    Fate.

    Again, being the main character helps. What would be the point of making a movie if they weren't in ____ on that special date?
     
    Why can't they have a movie with a different character, give Gary a chance at being the chosen one.

    Thus proving that Ash is not always the "chosen one" in each movie. He's just the guy who is diving headfirst into a barrage of Pocket Monsters. Being the main character of the series also helps him.
     
    He's the main character of the Pokemon anime. The anime has its own movies. Need I say more?

    xD That was Aqua Jet, not Volt Tackle. ...I think.
     
    As much as I don't like Ash, he has a knack for being in the wrong place at the right time, so that's pretty much how all the movies are formed. I wouldn't mind someone else taking a bit of the spotlight away from him though :3
     
    You know, seeing as Ash has remained 10 for so long, I'm just amazed his mom doesn't tell that 10 year old to come back home and to stop messing with ancient pokemon gods.
     
    What about the one guy.. Ritchie, was it?
    Him and his pikachu Sparky were cool.


    Oh, and it was may who bonded with Manaphy.
