5th Gen Why is no one writing Ghetsis kidnapped fics?

Not sure, maybe everyone has forgotten about Ghetsis :(

Sometimes people just need a little inspiration and them boom. You might wanna develop the idea a little more though and then someone can go from there. Maybe even Rivvon might, the user is obsessed with N and his lore!
 
What I assume we're talking about is a fanfiction where Ghetsis kidnaps somebody like Hilda or N to use for his own ends. This is open to interpretation however, the intent of the thread may be instead to suggest a story where Ghetsis himself is the victim of kidnapping. Since Ghetsis is the antagonist in canon its not surprising to me that there would not be many fanfictions of the latter variety. This is not to say that it couldn't be done, revenge fic after main events perhaps? Or even a backstory where this fate befell Ghetsis to explain how he became who he was. Still, I could understand at least why the default position of authors would not be to think of Ghetsis in this way.

Since there is so much mystery surrounding N's parentage in particular I've certainly heard the theory before that he may have been kidnapped by Ghetsis. So I would be a little surprised there isn't more fanfiction about this. Still it ultimately comes down to how you perceive Ghetsis as a character. Ghetsis is first introduced in the Black and White games seducing people with his speeches. His aggression came to the surface when you continued to stand in his way. As I see Ghetsis kidnapping would not be his first response to a situation. He would rather havea devoted follower fighting for him than a hostage. However, another writer might see him totally differently.

I'm having a good time writing about Ghetsis' personality right now in a fic I'm working on. Its about N, but Ghetsis is becoming increasingly important and I try to make him halfway care about N. Its not online yet, but I mention this just to shout out that Ghetsis will never be forgotten.
 
Truthfully, I would never imagine Ghetsis getting kidnapped. Who would kidnap him? Ghetsis is considered to be one of the most if not the most evil villain in the entire main series. If anything, he'd be the kidnapper, not the kidnapped. And considering the Shadow Triad was able to free Ghetsis from police custody, they could probably save him from such a situation as well. He has so many resources at his disposal that it's very hard to imagine a situation where Ghetsis would get kidnapped; that could be why it's not a common theme in fanfics.

The Shadow Triad can't save him if they don't know where he is. ;)
 
I suppose maybe as a kid he could have been kidnapped... and what happened to N happened to him... and thus everything would have come full circle? That's the only way I can really imagine a kidnapping happening.
